I love the Harry Potter movies. I really do, but there were certain moments that made me wonder what the HECK the directors were thinking. Here are my some of my top HP movie fails.
Ginny. She was like the Kristen Stewart of the Harry Potter world! She hardly had ANY expressions on her face throughout ALL of the movies! She doesn't really smile, frown, or...really show anything. I was never a Harry/Ginny fan to begin with, but at least in the book, she had a personality!
The Battle of the Lightning Struck Tower. This was my biggest disappointment concerning the Half Blood Prince. Remember in the book when Harry and Dumbledore rush to Hogwarts after seeing the Dark Mark? Remember how there was an amazingly epic battle going on between everyone? Remember how AWESOME it was? Yeah, so do I! In the movie, it was less than a few minutes. Enter Death Eaters. Say some lines. Kill Dumbledore. Brief emotional moment. Exit Death Eaters... Yeah, that was pretty much it.
Mad-Eye Moody's eye. HARRY WAS SUPPOSED TO TAKE THE EYE WITH HIM WHEN HE LEFT THE MINISTRY!!! In the book, he took the eye from Umbridge's office and buried it under the most gnarled, twisted tree he could find. IT WOULDN'T HAVE TAKEN MUCH TO SHOW THAT TINY DETAIL!
Harry's wand. At the end of the book, Harry used the Elder Wand to repair his own phoenix feather wand. He then decided to place the wand back in Dumbledore's tomb. He DID NOT snap it in half and toss it over a bridge!
VOLDEMORT IN DEATHLY HALLOWS PART 2!!!! Okay, WHAT were they thinking?! They should have stayed with the Voldemort from the Sorcerer's Stone! That Voldemort was freaking terrifying! The newer Voldemort was...okay, but still intimidating. Then...the last movie came... That scene after Harry's death...yeah...it sucked. When he was talking to Neville, he sounded like a bad school teacher. He laughed like a retard and... HE FREAKING HUGGED DRACO!!! I don't know WHERE that came from, but it won the award for being the most awkward moment...EVER! Voldemort isn't supposed to be an awkward schoolteacher...thing! He's supposed to be cold, cruel, and scary. Trying to give him a sense of humor failed miserably!
There's more, but these are my big ones.
