Okay. It's time to post this bad boy. *cracks knuckles* I've been holding off on this for awhile, but then, I found out something that made me want to weep: Team Rocket has gone Bad@$$. You heard me. Our goofy villains have been replaced with shady, sinister, black-clothed shadows of their former selves. They now fly away with jet packs instead of blasting off. *bows head* Pokemon is officially dead.
I started watching Pokemon at a very young age. I watched the anime and LOVED it. I collected the cards and LOVED it. I played the games and LOVED them.
The Pokemon looked cool and the anime had a plot that held true heart and soul. I sat on the edge of my seat when Ash battled Gary. I cried when Ash released Pikachu and Lapras. I was in awe of the legendary Pokemon like Suicune and Lugia. I laughed at Brock, loved Misty, and watched Ash's journey with interest.
I also loved Team Rocket. They were goofs, but they were deep. They were criminals, but they had hearts of gold. Watching them blast off always made me smile and shake my head.
The Hoenn series came around, and I still loved it. True, I missed Misty, but I liked May and Max. The Contests were interesting and a cool new way to show the animators' skills.
Then...we went on to Sinnoh. The Pokemon were still cool, but everything was wrong. Ash finally hit puberty, Dawn was a whiny brat, and old plotlines started to get recycled. EX: Jessie's Dustox leaving to be with a mate, Piplup not wanting to evolve, etc.
I stopped watching the series after that, but I have been reading updates. Brock is now gone, the new Pokemon don't even look good, and TEAM ROCKET IS SERIOUS!!!!! T_T For some reason, Team Rocket's change is just TOO MUCH TO TAKE! Seconds after I found this fact out, I turned on the old song: Team Rocket Double Trouble. In my mind, I glomped Jessie, James, and Meowth and shouted "COME BACK! WE MISS YOU!"
*sigh* Another wonderful show has died. *looks toward the graveyard* I'll put the stone right between Ben 10 and Scooby-Doo... To your right, you'll see the memorial to Disney Channel... Please stop by the Yogi Bear shrine on the way out... *sniffle* I gotta replace the flowers on Maximum Ride's grave before I go... *trails off*
I'll post a more detailed rant later on...I just don't have the strength at the moment...
