Plot, plot is good, Skally and Biowolf playing poker would be cool too but plot is better. I sure hope it is a part of the plot *fingers crossed*

Looking back at L&L in light of recent revelations, I get the feeling that if Van Kleiss is indeed in possession of a Meta, the Consortium would've wanted to use Breach in order to bring him in or contain him in a pocket verse or something. Once White finally discovered what they were really after, he probably figured that he could use her to hide the Meta in his possession somewhere safe, like a pocket dimension, or just take her out of the picture for good.
As for VK, the way he was telling White how he would applaude him for his time-travel shenanigans gives me the impression that he wanted to change something about the Event, like stopping the conspirators before they forced Caesar and Rylander to make a desperate decision.
