So I recently fell in love with this ps3 game titled InFAMOUS. It's been out for about two years, but since I'm a derp, I just now discovered it.

I really took a liking to it because the storyline kinda' sorta' reminds me of GenRex's.

Basically, average joe named Cole MacGrath is unknowingly carrying a ticking time bomb type device called the Ray Sphere. It detonates in the middle of his hometown, Empire City, unleashing this large blast that kills everyone within 6 blocks of his location. He wakes up with lighting-type powers, and discovers that he has recieved these powers due to his possessing of "The Conduit Gene"....aaaaaand basically everyone who came in contact with radiation from the Ray Sphere and happens to possess the conduit gene recieves superpowers. Everyone else that doesn't possess the gene(95% of the world's population) contracts a plague instead.

Sooo....the whole game is pretty much Cole trying to discover how he came in possession of this mysterious device and discover a bunch of other stuff that's going on under the table(secret organizations, gangs, etc.). Now this may sound absoulutely NOTHING like Generator Rex to you, but I was just drawing paralles with the explosions and superpowers. And being outcasted by society because of being different.

That's the backstory. I'm curious to know if any of my other playground goers have played?

I've only played the first game, but once I have the time(and the appropriate funds >.>) I'm ordering the sequel!

EDIT: I almost forgot! The game operates via a karma system. The actions that you do in game can determine two totally different endings! You can be a superhero...or a supervillain...

Did you get the chance to play the second game yet? I swear, I've never played a better sandbox. And then there's the engaging story with interesting, flawed characters. Zeke and Kuo definitely take the cake.

festival of blood was one mighty GOOD download! only problem... too short. lucky me that there hero edition i mention early there came with a super code that gave me all of them skins. my fav... the reapers skin! pluse that cole replica looks mighty fine might i add.

I'm 85% done. Need to do some more property damage and kick more butt in powered-down areas, but those are easy. Purchasing all the powers is gonna take some serious XP grinding, blech!

lol. as for me, i already earned both platinum's for them two games. mighty happy because infamous 1 was my first. oh, and ya'll should take a look at what coles voice actor said about the next game "Interviewer: "Are there any particular projects in the video game industry you would like to be a part of? Call of Duty, Resident Evil, etc?"

oh, now i understand. but yeah, the ce, well worth $100, still got my cole figure unopened in my closet. still looking brand spankin new! and that there super valchor and blue sunsound track diden't hurt nobody no how.

The game finally came in last last Tuesday, and I played through both good and evil storylines and I was extremely impressed with the story telling and gameplay. As well as the graphics. Cole looked amazing.

However, I wasn't a very big fan of how "sticky" Cole was. He's kind of a derp when it comes to dropping off of things. >.> Another thing I wasn't a big fan of the fact that you either got lots of development for either Nix or Kuo, depending on what path you were following. I learned lots about Nix and saw her character fleshed out more on the evil playthrough than I did on the good and the same with Kuo.

Still an amazing game though. Especially the second Bertrand fight. That was just...yes.
