So we have to write a poem for english and my favorite poetry is free-verse, so if I can get out of it, I won't use a structure. Well that was the assignment this time and I suffered writing this, so I want to know if it's any good, because I have a deep hate for it and I need an unbiased opinion. Then I also went to know if I should add a fourth stanza, or if my meaning got across nicely.
Please!
'To My Muse'
For the lack of words you’ve given me, for broken inspiration. My Muse it’s a game. You are to blame for all the painful frustration.
Long nights spent fighting for beauty, for desp'rate elaboration. You are to blame. My Muse it’s a game to give me such a great vexation.
Until the nights with pale moon so high, you aid in my creations. My Muse it’s a game. You are to blame for all the perfect contemplations.
-edit- also it's supposed to be 9-7-9-9, if anyone can check me on that.

It's pretty good. Add more stanzas
EDIT: Stanza two is 9-9-9-9 instead of 9-7-9-9, just a pointer

Why add more stanzas spirit? I want to know if you just prefer longer poems or if what i was trying to say just needs another stanza to really get across.
-edit- GRAHHH! 9-8-9-9! let's just leave it and hope my teacher doesn't notice.

I kind of prefer longer poems... but do what you want, it's yours ^_^

No, it's not bad to want longer. ^_^ but this is called a ZaniLa Rhyme and is traditionally only 3-4 stanzas long, another reason this was so hard, because I rarely write short poems. BUT THANK YOU!

'Wrestling for expansion' or 'wanting elaboration' both have seven syllables!

I like this. Great rhyme scheme and great concept. This poem has the Solora Stamp of Approval. ^_^
