Post your objects of nostalgia here! You know what I miss? The Pokemon Cyber Ultra Ball and Tamagotchi V2, 3 and 4 (< v4 = strange). So much love went into those. T_T That. You want two (I know it's technically four) pixel toys, those are the ones.

Tamagotchis are nostalgic? the tammagotchi in my pocket disagrees This stuff was amazing though, polly pockets with parts so small they were in severe danger of getting lost or eaten, old block like lara; croft my little brothers idol, Duke Nukem, furbies; wanted one soooo bad but got the cheap imitation, Creepy Abes Odyssey; the only computer game my grandma had at the time, Hi-5; I used to love those guys...think I still have the tape, yowie chocolates, Teenage mutant ninja turtles and cool blue barbie; my one and only decent non easily broken barbie.

Not exactly nostalgia. It's just the sad feeling I get, when people only pay attention to the movie (Which is lovely, btw) rather than the books. And also the same feeling applies to how I feel distanced from the fanfiction archive, which I used to dominate in the pre-Spielberg era. And don't pay attention to the cover that says "Tintin and Alph-Art." It's NOT REAL. It's an unofficial, hence illegal, finish-off of the incomplete last adventure.

My mom started reading me Harry Potter when I was five. The Harry Potter Craze began soon after. I went to the book launches, where I had lightening bolts painted on my forehead and dared my friends to eat soap flavored Bertie Botts Beans. My Christmas stockings were filled with Harry Potter trading cards and magic wands. My dad bought me Chocolate Frogs from the grocery store as a special treat every week. My uncle took me to all of the midnight showings. I grew up as Harry grew, turning seventeen on the first day of a marathon that ended with Deathly Hallows Part 2 two days later. There's something poetic about it: I reached the Wizard age of adulthood just as Harry Potter finally came to an end. Harry Potter was my childhood and everything else pales in comparison. www.youtube.com/watch?v=UhL2HRAVKZs
