I knew as soon as I saw Mako's picture online that they were going to go this route. Still, I thought it was too obvious and too cliched.
Ever since he showed up, I was actively NOT shipping Makorra.
"I will not ship this pairing. I will not ship this pairing. I will not ship this pairing." *watches episode three* "OMG! THEY'RE SNUGGLING AGAINST NAGA! SOOOO CUTE!!!!! ^o^"
...
Dangit, I ship this pairing now... -_- I'm so weak...

 Found this in one of the Korra trailers. It was less than a second long. If you blinked, you would have missed it. I didn't blink, so here it is! ^_^ I kinda wish that the kiss would have been a surprise, though... At least this shows that Korra won't be flirting with every guy in the series like Katara did. |

I hope what they do it make Makorra real obvious now, like they want to get together, but she tells him no cause of her avatar-y stuff. Similar to katara and aang after the battle where they storm the fire nation palace.

I dunno... In another trailer I saw, Korra was saying "Admit it! You like me!" to Mako. If anything, Mako will be the one saying no because of her being the Avatar. Korra is the type to say "Pfft! I'm the Avatar! I can be with whoever I want!"

But she's also horrified of Ammon, and she seems the type to tell Mako she doesn't need him, even if she does like him.

I actually hoped they'd never make them an actual couple. Stealing a kiss is fine in the moment but I reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeally didn't want to them to 'couple them'. I mean look at Suki and Sokka and Mai and Zuko XP.
Of course it's going to be cannon, and I'm not going to be against it, but I just wish they'd make it a love interest and keep the tension until like...the last episode.

Well, yeah. Some more tension would be nice, but Avatar is pretty good with romance, so I'm not worried.

I'd rather have seen them keep the tension until the end of the season at least, instead of the fact we've had three episodes and I'm already kinda choking on love vibes. >.>

Actually- ATLA gagged me with their relationships. I mean... Katara and Aang were a couple by the end. Yeah 3 years isn't a big age difference but it is when the ages are 12 and 15. I mean... Aang's balls hadn't even dropped yet. He still had squeaky voice.
And then there was Sokka and Suki - the fact that between Sokka and Katara we had a watertribe slut off- That episode where Sokka is waiting for Suki with a rose in his mouth- his hair out and posted all sexy and stuff- um. Yeah what was he waiting on Suki for exactly?
Don't get me started on the passive aggressive bs that is Mai/Zuko pairing.
I'm assuming since they made Korra 17 they hoped to lower the squick level involved with having the mc coupled up. But still....it doesn't have to come on so strong. And personally I think Bolin would have been a better personality fit for her. But then there would have been that brother vs brother grey area that Thunder Cats went with that a lot of creators would not be comfortable with. .........
And another thing.. in the screen shot...I can't help but thing... "Gee Mako, shut your mouth. She doesn't want to kiss your teeth." ><
Y'know what... I'm not allowed to have cactus candy anymore. *shuttingup*
