Hey, that's not funny. The folks over at 4Kids entertainment do a great job with their localizations. The things you're referring to, like censorship, are dated insults; not only did the Japanese companies require names & weapons to be changed because they wanted to sell their product (and subsequently, refused to license it unless certain changes were implemented), but the shows that received the brunt of that treatment premiered almost fifteen years ago. btw, 4kids writers are some of the best in the cartoon biz imbo, for all that they've got to work with awkward source material & lipflaps. I would honestly love to see a rex script written by those guys; so many quality zingers come straight from those english dubs. seriously not cool guys  Judging you all Sorry... |

Cardcaptor Sakura ("Cardcaptors") and Yugioh as notable examples. |

untill now ive never heard of 4kids but most of the things you said they do gets done to all shows that broadcast in Australia (which is another reason I refuse to watch generator rex on tv) they cut out all partial nudity (including shirtless dudes), cut out most violence, all swearing (no matter how minor) and all scenes that may be seen as inappropriate and all scenes that make references to the scenes they cut out and they do not care if cutting bits makes the show confusing, so look on the bright side no matter how you feel about 4kids they only have control over the shows they have unlike the broadcasting censorship people who are allowed to mutilate everything that shows up on tv.

This thread is frightning, but either we don't catch it or 4kids is dead. I never see it anymore. Before it became 4kids (it was called Foxkids at the time) it was actually good.

Seriously though...THE PROVIDENCE AGENTS WOULD LOSE THEIR FACELESS NO-NAME SYNDROME! (The masked ones die by the handful and no one cares) Van Kleiss would lose his claw and would instead turn his hand into a flower or something. Biowulf's name would become Robo-Wolf. Skalamander would become a generic dragon (the un-awesome kind) named Puff. Breach...there would be no Breach. Circe would lose her second mouth and goth appearance and would instead become a hypnotic blonde pop-singer...

In Sonic, they censored death...so the faceless agents would all just go on a bus trip or cruise or move away or something. HAHA PUFF. Breach would also go with them. Rex's machines...
Smack Hands - Pillows. OH my goshness PILLOW FIGHT!
BFS - Scissors. Six would be all like, "No running with scissors!"
Whip - A REALLY long string.
Chainsaw thingy - A tire. A fluffy tire.
Punk busters - Giant...ROLLER SKATES! OH YEAH!
