I don't get it though. Caesar seemed to really love Rex. What changed? I think BK may be controlling him.
Is anyone else seeing a tragic scene where Caesar switches sides at the last moment, saving Rex and losing his life in the process? I am...

I don't think he's brainwashed. I'm with DD on this one. I think he's looking at the bigger picture. A picture that Rex (being the easiest person to jump to conclusions that I have ever seen) can't see. And while yes he does love his brother, he can't let him come between him and the greater good. Also, Rex seemed a little bit violent before they tried to zap him. I mean what was the point in having the temper tantrum and knocking the equipment off? It was just microscopes and sh*t. If he wanted to break something why didn't he just push his brother aside and go straight for the gun?
I don't think Caeser is evil or brainwashed. I think he's looking at the consequences and reactions and effects that everything has on everything. He's seeing the bigger picture and it looks good and promising. I believe Caesar is doing what he believes is right and to him his brother is trying to get in the way of that. The same exact thing that Rex is doing.

Yeah, I don't think he's being controlled. I think zapping Rex was not something he was 100% on board with, he didn't seem to be enjoying it. I've always seen Caesar as the kind of scientist that gets caught up in the process and misses the human aspect of what he's doing. I picture him as the weirdo that lacks people skills but is brilliant with things that don't involve humans. He probably honestly thought that this "mind control" for EVOs thing was for the best since it prevented them from hurting others, but using it against EVOs that are in control of their actions like Rex tests the ethics of that idea. These recent events really make me wonder about what Rex's parents were like... to have raised someone like Caesar.

In the Ben 10, Generator Rex crossover episode Caesar said something alog the lines of for the first time scince he was 6 years old he had no idea of what he was looking at, now either thats an exageraton of a nod towards him being a child genius. Taking into account the way Caesar is today I'm doubting it was an exageration.
If his genius was a result of some form of mental disorder than his lack of compassion and his low ability to interact with other people might not be directly related to his parents but more so a side effect of the disorder its self. If they raised Cesar than I believe they also did a majoity of the parentig for Rex up until the event.
Caesar might have babysat occasionally but I think hes too wrapped up in his work to have been able to give Rex the amount of attention and compassion that would have been required to raise him entirely. Looking at Rex today I dont think he would have been the quiet, sit still and play with blocks for hours on end kind of kid either so constant superision would probably have been a must.

As they say, the road to hell is paved with good intentions.
Caesar is a man driven by logic. While we still don't have a firm grasp on Providence's new agenda, he seems convinced that it will benefit everyone and is willing to take a hardliner stance in order to fulfill it. It doesen't necessarily make him "evil", but being a constant advocate of rationality may have rendered him colder, hence the determined effort to pacify Rex. The same applies if Van Kleiss was telling the truth about him causing the Event.

This is completely random but... For the longest time, I've had an image in my head of Caesar wearing blue pajamas with little test tubes printed on them...and blue bunny slippers. Does anyone else see him as being the type to wear science jammies and cute slippers?
I also see him wearing, in his down time, tee-shirts that say E-mc2 and stuff like that.
And I see him having an apron that says "Kiss the Chemist!" on it.
...Any other takers? ^_^

Sleep? Caesar sleeps? Perhaps he wears pajamas, but it's hard to imagine him sleeping for anything besides an experiment.
