No, I am not talking about Sex. XD;
Even if I was into slash, I doubt I'd be able to ship these two after seeing Promises, Promises.
Anyway, I'm talking about the friendship/familial relationship between these two awesome characters.
Personally, I've always viewed Six as Rex's surrogate dad or something along those lines. I can't explain it, but I just love that a Father-Son relationship has started to develop between them (Promises, Promises!). Even as dispassionate as he is, you can tell Six cares about the kid, and that just makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. <3 [/corn]
So what are your thoughts on this, the shipping aside?

There are 3 reasons I don't ship SeX:
1- I'm not much on yaoi. 2- THE AGE, PEOPLE! Seriously! I think Six is in his freaking 30's. 3- .... Six is his dad. I mean... It's true. Six is his dad.

2- THE AGE, PEOPLE! Seriously! I think Six is in his freaking 30's. I would like to point out for the record that while i am as yet underage, if i stood even half a chance, i would tup Six. So, maybe that is why i dont see as much of an issue with that point as the rest of you do.

Also, see reasons 1 and 3. Yes, I would try to jump Six or, at least, try to hug him, but it would fail.... so, so badly.

I think Six was at the end of his rope a man that had been to far and done to much. Then along came a boy he shouldn't have helped and that boy might be the one that can save the world. Hope is a powerful thing, and Promises, Promises is a heck of an episode. Their is also Holiday and she doesn't hurt either. I think that Rex is going to spend the series looking for a family that isn't there, only to realize he's built one. Six is stoic tough, and protective he's the a typical hero dad sterotype, by design I'll wadger.

I'm not into yaoi- especially pedo yaoi. I can't see Six as pedo and even if it is consentual its still PEDO! Okay....breath *takes two shots* Hm that actually works. ^.^
Yes I like the father/son vibe going on. But I have to disagree on the dispassionate part- I think Six is very passionate. He just doesn't show it. YOu have to have passion for something if you believe as strongly in it as Six does the war and Rex.

I think that Rex is going to spend the series looking for a family that isn't there, only to realize he's built one. That's exactly what I screamed at the end of 'Dark Passage', when Rex kept groaning about no family. They are RIGHT THERE.

YOu have to have passion for something if you believe as strongly in it as Six does the war and Rex. As I said before, I think Six is the most emotional character on the show. Yes, he's stoic, but there's a billion in one reasons he is that way; the main one is that he doesn't want to show his enemies that he cares/loves some people and he doesn't want them to end up hurt/dead. He's dramatic, he's sarcastic, he cares about everything. He's just... in control.

Ok, I just had another thought on the bond these two have. First, let's do a little recap.
In the episode 'The Architect', Rex (for obvious reasons) runs away from Providence and they haven't been able to find him. They finally get a trace on him and Six leaves to get him. Holiday tells him to let Rex decide for himself if he wants to come back or not, and Six doesn't answer. Six does find Rex, with that family (I forgot that guy's name) and tells White that 'Rex isn't there'. I don't know if Rex notices Six before or after he tells White this (that's a pretty major thing to this rant, actually), but then Six starts to leave. Rex catches up to him, says he wants to go home, and they do (to eat meatloaf lol).
So. Now that we have a clearer view of all these characters and the episode 'Promises, Promises', what do you think of this little act? Do you think that, if Rex didn't want to go back, that Six wouldn't have forced him and let him stay?
It's a hard thing to figure out. Six does care about Rex, the same that Holi cares about him, but Rex is also the ONLY known cure against the Evos. That and would Six really have just let him leave and never see the kid again? Maybe for Rex's safety, but what parent would still do that? (Unless they were desperrate.) Well, maybe they would check up on him from time to time, but that would be too risky. Then again, maybe Six put a bet on Rex following him, they do know eachother well. I may end up answering my own question with this.
Anyway, in conclusion. Rex is the only cure against the Evo threat, but they (Six and Holi) still want Rex to have a normal, family, caring, life (b/c they care about him). So, would Six really have left him there and never went back if Rex didn't chase after him?

I think Six knew that Rex needed a little time, but that Rex would come back. Rex wants to be perfectly free, but he knows his responsibility, and he accepts that the world needs him. It is a nonpoint, Even if Six was willing to leave him, rex would have gone back to providence on his own eventually anyway.

I think Six would have left him there. That doesn't mean they couldn't have called him when the needed him- but I also think that Six knoew that Rex wouldn't stay.
