Again, for the sake of knowing each other just a little better. This is all about theme songs, or songs that usually match moments in stuff like that.
Has anyone ever thought that they might have a specific song in mind that matches most of their life? Well then, my friend, you've just found the song of your life! Or at least I think you did
This thread is simple. Post up what YOU think is the theme song of your life, explain why and we can just talk about it randomly...
For me, I think my theme song in life is either "I'm Just A Kid" or "Welcome To My Life", both of which are by Simple Plan. If you don't know the song, look it up.
It matches my life because it talks about the loneliness I feel at school. It sucks to be alone, but it's better off that way because no one can disagree with you or hurt you. But doing so is actually hurting yourself. Being a kid and all, I'm confused about everything right now and I don't always understand why I don't typically fit in with my peers. Being accepted into society is all I want, but they just don't understand that...

hm, well I'd say songs that fit me? I'm still here, by John Rzeznik. Cause usually, I'm just left behind, and no one really understands me, here's a favorite part of mine
"And how can the world want me to change? they're the ones that stay the same! They can't see me, but I'm still here."
Also, "F*cking Perfect"" By P!nk, I know that sounds bad, but I think that I can really relate to this song.
"Change the voices, in your head, make them like you instead"
Turn it Off by Paramore, also describes bits of my life, but then again, most of the songs I listen to I can relate to~~~

Same here, but the ones above are the ones I can relate to the most. I don't have any relatable lines because I relate to the whole song/s

"According to you' by orenthi or however you spell that name
And horribly, "What the hell' by avril Not so much the first bit- but mostly the chorus. yeah.
"What love really means"By jj heller is also kinda perfect for me.

A lot of depressing songs in this list.
From middle school through most of college, my life was "Hold On" by Good Charlotte. I was on a rollercoaster of depression but, no matter how times I wanted to stop the ride, I just held on for dear life with my family, hoping that that next hill was the last one.
It took a little more than ten years, but I eventually got to "Ordinary Day" by Great Big Sea. My life has ups and downs, but the downs aren't nearly as down anymore. I still suffer on and off from depression but I don't let it rule me anymore.

Well, I do got some good songs on my good side...
Like "Today My Life Begins" by Bruno Mars, "Friends Forever" by Vitamin C and "At The Beginning" from Anastasia. I just realized those are pretty much goodbye songs
Maybe it's because I don't usually appreciate what I have until it's gone in my life, so I'm actually trying to fix my outlook on life. Everything that I've learned to miss was from my past, and what hurt was I didn't live it to the fullest, so now I just wish I can turn back time and relive everything, even though it's too late...

Well I'm on anti depressants now, so i'm doing way better then how I used to be, but that also means having to feel more, and honestly, it sucks, but I'm doing pretty good, so it's gonna take a while. Hm, "Life starts now" By Three Days grace is rather fitting~~~

I LOVE Three Days Grace!! My two favorite songs from them are "Animal I Have Become" and "Never Too Late"
But on an unrelated added note, I also like the song "If Today Was Your Last Day" by Nickelback. It basically talks about living your life to the fullest, which I honestly haven't done that much now that I think about it...

Hmmm I don't think I have theme songs of my life. I don't pay much attention to my own life. And the songs I love - I don't actually relate to them, as in, most of the time they have little to do with my life. I think one could say that I'm an empath? I have a tendency to like songs that make me feel like a mommy or something. I don't know.
I also love happier songs, or something.
My all-time favorite singer is Anna Nalick. Highly recommended. Most of you might have heard of Breathe (2 AM).

You know, I read somehwere on the Internet that teens who listen to music too often will end up 8x more depressed than other teens...
And now look at where music has gotten me
But I gotta say, without music, I wouldn't have learned so many life lessons on my own (yeah, most of the life lessons I learned, I learned on my own since my parents don't know what's happening in my life too much) and it actually helped me understand a lot of things better

@ devi - That's cool My favorite off the first album, Wreck of the Day, is Forever Love (Digame). It's so sweet (when you smile with those eyes/baby it's like you placed a finger on my heart - my favorite lines of that song XD). I've read that the song came from a time when she was in a car crash and she was lying upside down, and wanted so much to see her boyfriend or something. She has a new album coming up, should be out this month and I am so getting it. :3 @ Agent Awesome - I do have mixed feelings about things like that, yeah. As someone who freaks out when someone is depressed, I can't help but wonder what it is about listening to depressing songs, which makes me even more freaked out because I keep thinking it would make things worse. I don't think that anymore, I think. I understand that it can help a lot of people. But I can't listen to depressing songs for long periods of time.

Hey, anyone know the song "With A Smile" by Eraserheads? It's really nice, and at some parts, I could really relate...
