Yeah, I like it so far too. BUT, the parts with the animation sequences... Are just... They're awfully hilarious. XD What makes me happiest though, is that they've kept the voice actors from the show! It'd have been just so weird otherwise. XD;; Still playing through it. It's not bad on the 3DS.

Just finished the PS3 version and figured I'd add my two cents. Don't worry, this is going to be spoiler free if you want to play the game and be surprised yourself.
First of all, let me start off by saying that I've been burned many, many times before by show-based games. The last one I played was so awful that I didn't bother finishing it, instead turning it back in for store credit at the local Gamestop. I was very skeptical when I bought this game.
Fortunately, Agent of Providence rose above my pessimistic expectations.
Having the original voice actors is a major plus though the first couple of scenes involving White Knight make me wonder if JK Simmons had a cold when he recorded. The animation looks a little odd due to me being used to seeing 2D instead of 3D (along with not being able to see details like the weave of Rex's jeans), but it only occasionally bothered me enough to really grab my attention. For example, the first time we see Holiday, she looked a little odd to me.
Storyline-wise, you could fit the story into some point between "Night Falls" and "A Family Holiday". Really, it's only "Night Falls" that gets even slightly spoiled due to two of the collectibles in the game. It plays like an interactive episode with the player fighting their way to each new scene. This works in its favor for me since I love the writing of the episodes. Not sure if you would count the story as canon though.
There were a few raised eyebrow moments along with the occasional "Wow, how'd that fly under the radar?" However, I found no fault with any of those moments; I was simply surprised they were there at all.
The environments and game play are very linear, but--again--it's a show-based game. I wasn't expecting an open sandbox along the lines of Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, so I wasn't too disappointed.
Enemies tend to get a bit repetitive at times, but--once again--it's a show-based game. The challenge is upped largely by more enemies swarming you at the same time as opposed to more unique enemies. In total, there's maybe eight to ten different varieties of enemies excluding the bosses.
Boss fights were very fun, particularly since they ended with a Kingdom Hearts II or Okami-style sequence of button presses to do a special finishing move. The extra time they took to do those animations was very much appreciated.
Overall, the game itself is a pretty standard beat 'em up. Basically, fight your way from zone to zone, chaining various attacks together to form combos. You collect nanites to upgrade your abilities along with your health and Omega meter. There's also some platforming and puzzle solving, but nothing major on either front. No real broken ground here.
Now to move on to the builds. You have available at all times the Smack Hands, the BFS, and the Slam Cannon. As you build up on combos and defeat enemies, your Omega meter fills up which allows you access to the Omega builds you relearn along the way. (I'd tell you why you lost them, but I promised no spoilers!) The Omega builds available are the Blast Caster (that whip thing), the Funchuks, and the Bad Axes (I kid you not on the name and I almost died laughing at how they got away with that). Sadly, the Punk Busters and the Rex Ride were only available under certain circumstances. The Boogie Pack was only in cutscenes.
Transitioning between builds is smooth with only a slight hesitation as you change due to animation. I had ridiculous fun turning into a whirling tornado when using the Bad Axes to rip through multiple enemies when in a jam. The Omega builds are a teeny bit hard to control at times but not terribly so. My main issue was forgetting which part of the D-pad activated which build when in the middle of a huge fight. That was one source of death for me.
The other source of death was the true enemy in this game: the camera.
The camera is static and not always close enough for you to be able to see properly. I must've died a dozen times due to falling down holes I didn't see until it was too late. It was the camera that prompted the most colorful swearing I've done outside of programming.
There were a couple of bugs that I found. For example, there are times when Rex will randomly start walking along instead of his usual run. Another is a fun bug where I decided to talk to the grunts for giggles before my next mission that somehow froze up all the controls on the game except for making Rex run around. I had to shut down and start back up the game to be able to continue.
Other than the little bugs and the camera issue, my primary complaint was it was so short. I could've finished it easily in an afternoon had I not taken my time the way I had.
Overall, I really liked the game and was pleased with the purchase. I especially appreciated the nod to the original comic with it being the name of one of the trophies you can collect.

Yes, Solora. Breach does show up. In fact, she is one of the bosses you have to fight. And that had to be my favorite level of the game. One spoiler. Cirex haters will really hate the last level of the game.
Beat it easily. Already beat all the Agent Six challenges and the DNA collection things for Holiday.
Graphics are better on the XBOX than I thought. I am glad I pre-ordered it at Gamestop.

Uh oh, if Circex is canon in game, then what does that mean for Brex in the show? Dx (Figures Circe/Rex will probably be canon in the show anyway).

No no no no no! Circex can NOT be canon! There has NOT been enough meaningful interaction between the two. Breach managed to have a more meaningful experience with Rex in ONE EPISODE than Circe did throughout the ENTIRE SHOW! The only way I can see Circex happening is if MOA just throws it together in the end. If he does, I'll just DIE!

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA YES Face it Solora just like Kevin and Gwen, Circe was MEANT to be Rex's love interest. The rest is just a passing fancy.

I don't know. It was hardly canon imo, if anything though, just some real shiptease. XD I was kind of wtf at the end though, about when he said he didn't want Circe being mixed up with a bad crowd again. I'm like... is he dissing on the Hong Kong gang? I dunno, the way it was worded was like... He forgot Circe was hanging out with them.
One thing I notice in a lot of things that Rex does that's not on the show is... He does quite a few last minute azz-pulls in tough situations. And I mean the "Oh yeah, well I thought you might x, so that's why I did y before hand and that's why you're screwed now." Like, he did that with Circe in the game, and before that he did the same thing in one of the CNAPs... Ironically also starring Circe. Huh.
Oh yeah, for those interested on the 3DS version... well, I can't get over the hilarity of the 2D cartoon sequences (but that's really the worst part of it, imo). XD; Imagine a cardboard puppet theatre with the background of whatever level they're in, cut out the singular stand images you find on the internet of the characters, glue them onto popsicle sticks, and act out the scenes. THAT'S what the sequences were like. And to be honest, that's exactly what I expected. XDD;; Except it was like some of the images were compressed real badly here and there so it was all... pixelly sometimes... XD;

Hm... *taps chin* I propose a truce, Little. Let us meet under the common banner of Noex. This, I feel, is something we can agree on. Mind you, Brex is my OTP, but that doesn't stop me from loving the awesomeness that is Noex. *holds out hand* Shake?
