BoBo is Evo Chimpanzee sometimes incorrectly called a monkey. He's an ape people!
BoBo's Evo powers are the ability to talk and a human level IQ. Now mind you Monkeys are pound for pound stronger and more durable then humans, hence why BoBo energy pistols are bigger then Rex's head. He can take the weight where as a standard Grunt couldn't.
BoBo has the personality of a poker playing, hard partying guys guys. He is from time to time absent from the show, where he goes and what he does in these absences is never mentioned but in Plague he was asleep the entire Episode after some hard partying with the guys in the motor pool.
When he is in the show he is most often Rex's wing man, and co escape artist, and general best friend. BoBo spends enough time in Rex room for it to smell of monkey, but it is unknown if he sleep in there as their is onlyone bed.
No jokes on that last one people I draw the line at the chans, and if you don't know what I'm talking about GOOD.
I double checked BoBo has a hammock in there.
BoBo in general seems to be loyal to Rex, and care about his well being.
He also seems to have issues with being called an " it ".
Lastly he dresses in what appears to be a circus outfit with a Fez for a hat, implying he might have been a circus monkey or the guy in the Providence wardrobe department has a sense of humor.
We learn in promises promises that bobo was busted by providence a lot back in the day, and that he once broke into the Kremlin and threatened to push THE BUTTON unless he was given a large amount of caviar
Also BoBo can pick locks ( he used a ball point pen once ).
