Some Changes Around the Site

Well first off I better start by introducing myself, I am The Royal Super Awesome Intelligent Versatile Witty Supreme Chancellor of Providence Playgrounds Technical Coding and All Things Java or just X, whichever you prefer. I'm making some updates to the coding of the website, adding little doodads or making posting easier. So I will simply use this forum page to list my progresses and updates. One thing too, don't ask for a code that allows total copy/paste from word to here, for fanfics. It just can't happen, at least I can't seem to make it keep the spacing, bolding, etc.

Music Player Tutorial
Might see that the next time you modify your profile its like hey, add some music here guy/gal. So I;m going to show you how to add that music to your profile so all your friends are super jealous of your awesome tunes.

1) Enter said profile editing
2) Swing on over to this webpage
3) Click on the Music Tab and Type in the song, then hit "Search MP3"
4) Click on one of the links there and test to see if it plays.
5) Copy and paste the url below the player bar (should be in green text) make sure it ends in .mp3 or .wav , and that it can be copied in one swoop and is not some super long url.
6) Paste into the designated box in the modifier page and hit "Modify"
7) Music on your profile. Go check mine out I have it rigged already.

This may be a stupid question, but I'm gonna ask anyway. Does the like/dislike thing link to Facebook? Like everything else?

I don't get the music thing. It doesn't work and the quote under my avatar changes into some sort of code. But I swear that I put it in the right box....

Sometimes certain urls wont work, so just keep trying different ones in the box until the coding doesn't appear in your personal text. Or maybe pick a new song.

I did that and it was doing it last night, but I was tired and didn't fix it. NOW, everything's normal... I don't know if the music plays, but yeah. (my comp is slow.) Anyone's free to check if it'll play for one of you guys on my profile.

Ok, I'm having the same issue. I've tried several different links and now I cant even get that code under my avatar to go away:-(

I had the same problem. I just got tired of it and left. Next day it was better.... *shrug*

For anyone who cant get the music to work, try heading over to project playlist's website and copying the url from those songs, it may prove to work better. To remove the code if the song isnt working, just go to your personal text, highlight it all, and Retype the words.

@ Mac & Lina: I went in and edited your text under your avatar to remove the code or whatever. It was making whatever thread you posted on all squished ^_^

AH! That's what happened! Thank you, Doc.

When I tried to do that myself, the text I put in had disappeared @.@ So, I couldn't make it go away.
