Greetings all, just wanted to introduce myself. It's so great to find such an active and dedicated forum for any fandom, and especially for GR, since it's now one of my favorite shows. It'll be nice to both find some interesting conversations on the fandom and to pose some interesting thoughts of my own.
A quick word or two on my personal preferences; even through normally I love to ship different characters, for some reason I'm finding that GR is one of those shows where I don't really like any of pairings. I kinda wish I could, and I have no problem at all with any ship whatsoever, but the fact is that none of all these pairings evokes even a tiny emotional response from me. A possible reason is that most of these pairings are yaoi, and while I'm totally ok with the people who like, I usually prefer my ships to have females in them. However, I can be persuaded if the ship is written or explained really well. Another note is that I have a really hard time hating or getting angry at pretty much anything, so my personal opinions always tend to lean towards the "No one's a monster/Why can't everyone be good or at least grey?" side of fence. I like insanity and violence, love it in fact, but it makes me a little sad inside when people go hating on some character while I always thought they were a good person.
Last words, first I'm horribly sorry the long-winded paragraph above, I just wanted to explain some things about myself and see what people think. I also may get a little verbose when I really get into a topic. And while I hesitate to say that I'm a grammar nazi (because the internet makes them sounds scary and pushy, and I strive to be neither), I do prefer a decent level of correct grammar and spelling what I read and especially what I write, if only to placate my inner nitpicker. Oh man, just realized that this "last words" parahgraph is long as well
Well anyway, it is a pleasure to be a member of these forums and I hope to be meeting several of you soon, thank you very much! *gathers notecards and steps down from pulpit*
