Alright, let me explain. Just watched "A Family Holiday" episode - providenceplayground.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=s2&thread=694&page=5My first thought: OMG FREAKING ORGASM!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But later, second thoughts: 1) Teh Holix finally came true = YAY!!! 2) But since they are now an item/dating, there won't be Teh Sexual Tension stuff. 3) It can basically kill off the entire Holix in the series. Because: Remember when Mulder and Scully fnially got together in the "X-Files" series. Years and years of sexual tension - and then it all ends like BAM!! Now they are dating and having children and stuff - and no more sexual tension. End of story. Why we ship Holix: Because (until now) it has been a forbidden love, a sexual tension and a fact that they never acted on their feelings. Never. It was all unspoken. My conclusion: Bringing Six and Holiday finally together in the series is not wise. It kills off the romance and the sexual tension. Now they will become a couple = boring boyfriend/girlfriend kind of stuff. No more tension. So in a way, it's catastrophic for the whole Holix ship. From now on, the official public Holix romance in the series will get us bored to death. The whole official public Holix romance should have happened by the end of the TV series, when MoA would let it go with a big BANG!! But now now. MoA just offed Holix. It's catastrophic.

I have to disagree.
Holix just isn't about sexual tension, willthey/wontthey suspense, or one sided love.
It's about character growth, too. Especially in times of hardship. An establishment of a relationship like this is only one part of the whole HOLIDAY AND SIX thing. Unlike a teenage romance, there are going to be more dimensions from a mature, adult pair like these two.
There will still be PLENTY of tension that will keep going and keep us interested. Think about it. They are going to be discovering their feelings for eachother in a time of biological chaos. Things are going wrong everywhere on Earth and it is still their job to fix it. Even if the show is lighthearted at times, they're still trying to nurture their relationship in a time of hell. Even if Holiday has had a vast personal leap forward with her sister and Six, she still has a lot of pressure to help save the planet.
While Six, on the other hand, is still pretty ambiguous. He probably isn't just going to open up completely and be all flowers and hugs for Holiday. He's going to need time to adjust caring for someone like he cares about Holiday now that it's out in the open between the two of them (and Rex and Bev). Expectations from Holiday and even from himself are going to be different now, and both he and Holiday have to discover those expectations from each other as well.
Their romance STILL IS forbidden. They're supposed to be coworkers, and they're supposed to keep it professional. I don't think Knight would tolerate two of his best employees being distracted by each other of all things. They really have too many responsibilities to let themselves be caught up in each other right now, and I think they would realize that.
Now that Holix is established, I think we can look forward not to potential hints of their feelings for each other, but something more substantial now. Meaningful looks, words, small actions and subtleties that require a little reading between the lines.
Holix is better now, because we know something truly is there, and it's the struggle between their love, responsibilities, and themselves that will really make their relationship shine. It'll be a fantastic dimension of depth to this show, if handled right.

I couldn't have put it better, Sir. Nicely reasoned. The key here IS that this relationship is a mature romance, which like Sir said, instantly now opens the pandora's box of challenges that come with a real relationship between two adults:-) Frankly, I'm hysterically excited to settle in for the new segment of their journey together and watch what naturally evolves:-)

We for got to mention the variety of issues both of these characters have. With the amount of insecurity Holiday turned out to have in this episode, and Six's "history" with whoever, to go into a relationship is quite a brave step for both of them. This is going to be all over the place.

I keep thinking about Six's statement in Dark Passage where he said he still doesn't have a clue about women. I know it probably has nothing to do with anything, but it's fun to think about.

TEH S-T PHRASE *runs away screaming* ... *shot* Naw, I agree with Sir, MoA can pull this off. Not too romantic, but enough to a) make the Green Team's squees dwarf the Sun and b) keep the action scenes running top-notch smooth. They're MoA, they can do anything.

i got confused by parts of your post, but i'll agree that MoA can do anything.
and like i said, still forbidden love unless one wants to get fired. and if they still went ahead which one do you think would take the fall? i think it would be six cos holiday is more important.
