No, this ain't about the creepy horror movie with Chucky the living doll in it...
This thread is all about childhood. Specifically, stuff you used to love doing in your childhood (or even until now, if it applies)
I'll start!!!
Other than "Tag" and "Hide 'n' Seek", my favorite games are:
• Jinks
Mechanics:
The best way I can describe it is a stepping game.
1. Players form a circle then you chant, "We wanna Jinks!". Once the word "Jinx" is said, you all jump out to anywhere, but only once.
2. Someone will count while saying this, "J-I-N-K-S, Jinks!". When he/she finishes, the player whom they pointed to will make the first move, jumping toward any player he/she wants to step on their foot.
3. If the move is successful, the person who got stepped on is out and they repeat. If not, the person who initiated the move will pick another person to make a new move, which means it's their turn to step on someone.
4. The cycle continues until there are two people left squaring off against each other, making it fast-paced. Whoever is successful, becomes the winner.
Rules:
1. You can only make one move at a time
2. If you make a move when it's not your turn, you're out.
3. You're not allowed to step on two different people's feet
• Langit Lupa (Heaven and Hell)
Mechanics:
1. Go to a place with lots of chairs or any elevated place
2. One person has to be an "it" by singing the song (while pointing to each other):
Langit Lupa
Impyerno
Im - im - impyerno
Saksak, puso, tulo ang dugo
Patay, buhay
Umalis ka na diyan sa pwesto mo
(English version:
Heaven and Earth
Hell
Hell, hell, hell hell hell
Stabbed in the heart and bloods drips down
Dead, Alive
Get out of your place)
The person who is pointed at is SAFE and will NOT be "it". The last person who remains will be "it".
3. The safe ones (Angels) will climb on to anything to be safe from the "it" (Devil). If one part of their body is exposed and the Devil touches it, roles will be reversed and the Devil is now an Angel.
4. There's no end to the game...just until you get tired.
Rules:
1. You're not allowed to stay in one place for more than 30 seconds. If you exceed, you automatically become the Devil.
2. While roles are being reversed, there's a 10-second interval. If the new Devil touches the Angel (formerly the Devil), it will not be counted.
• Nanay, Tatay
• Lemonade, Icy Crunch
• Pizza Pie
• Pen Pen Desarapen
• Patintero ( en.wikipilipinas.org/index.php?title=Patintero )
• Ghost Town (roleplay thing)
• Ice, Ice, Water
Mechanics:
1. Players will form a circle using their shoes (while still wearing them). They will choose the "it" while reciting the chant
Ice, Ice, Water
If your shoe is dirty,
Please come home and change it
The person pointed at will NOT be "it", but will instead use his/her other foot. If that foot is chosen again, he/she is safe from being "it". The cycle continues until the last one remaining is there, becoming the "it".
2. The "it" has to run around and tag others, saying "ICE!" every time he/she does so. The player tagged will be frozen in place until a person who is not "it" touches them and says, "WATER!".
3. The game will be over if the "it" successfully freezes all of them, because then no one will save them.
(I realize most of this are names of games you guys don't know, so I'll modify the post later and tell you how each game works)
My favorite hobbies (asides from playing games) are:
• Sleeping
• Making flat clay figurines
• Arts and Crafts
• Messing with my Beyblades
• Messing with the TV remote
• Doing my homework (hey, I was kinder when I loved doing homework all the time)
• Mess with my mom's calculator
• Jump from the cabinet near the wall onto my bed (don't worry, I never got hurt)
• Solitaire
• Ungguy-ungguyan (pairing cards)
• Dressing up in my parents' clothes
• Fitting myself into the pillow cases (with the pillows in them)
• Pretending to be an author
• Dancing shamelessly to whatever song is on
• Singing shamelessly to whatever song is on
...and many many more...
So what about you guys?
