My first obsession in life, second only to my love for writing, greater than my love for GR, Harry Potter, and anything else, is dragons. I collect everything draconic that I can find, especially glass dragons. If it has a dragon involved, I'm automatically interested. So, I'm dedicating this thread to the discussion of dragons.
What's your favorite type of dragon? I like the more modern dragons that have the design of a Western dragon (lizard like with bat wings) but the intelligence of an Eastern dragon (dragons from Asian folklore). My dream dragon would be gold with bright green eyes.
What's your favorite specific dragon? Mine is probably Ramoth, Canth, Ruth, or Mnementh from Dragonriders of Pern.
Let's talk about dragons in media! What books, movies, or TV shows do you love that have them?

i like the old asian style of dragon (like from chinese folklore) i mean i think they look awesome ;D
but if ever i had a dragon i would want it to be jet black with like bright red eyes cos i think it would look creepy yet awesome

I'm also a fan of the Western look/Eastern brains type of dragon.
I've read a little bit of Pern but I never really read much of it. I thought those dragons were pretty cool though.
I play a lot of World of Warcraft so I'm a huge fan of the dragons there with all the different flights.

Okay, to be honest...I just finished 'Hitchups', which is an amazing How To Train Your Dragon fanfic. (For those interested, alternate title would be "Hiccup & Toothless's Epic Bromantic World Tour Adventure Journey Thing, now with Norse Gods and 2x the awesome!!!")
Also, is American Dragon actually any good?, because I've been thinking about watching it but couldn't really tell if it was worth the time.

American Dragon is for those people who like to turn into dragons, skateboarding, talking dogs and old sensei people. IMHO. Go kill me, Solora. I grew up on Astro Boy, Hoenn/Sinnoh and Class of the Titans. ><

ahhh i know what it is now, i saw a few episodes and could have killed myself, so i basically didn't think it was very good T-T.

My inner child still obsesses over them. Do any of you know Dragonology? It's a series all about Dragons. Yeah, I spent an unheathy amount of money on that stuff... good times...

I LOVE CHARIZARD! I also love a lot of the Dragon Digimon like Veemon and Agumon (even though they don't really resemble traditional dragons).

i used to love digimon i liked that one which was chubby with wings on it's head (not really a dragon i guess, but it has wings)
