I CRACKED. I CRACKED. Bear in mind that I will be trolling and spamming this thread  Talk about anything from your favourite 'Mon to evolutions, rant about Unova, blah blah blah... *makes a list three miles long* I really don't like the way all the games have the same, basic, boring "Here's a Pokemon, battle your rival/s, get the badges, beat the bad guys that want to steal ur 'Mon and fill up the Pokedex". IT'S BORING. The only difference is a new region or minigames or character. I HATEZ. [/rant] |

I probably had something to do with you cracking (hehe, sorry ^^), so I might as well Pokegeek with you :3
Lets see... saying Ditto's my favorite Pokemon is probably cheating since it can transform, so I'm going with my backup favorite of Ninetails. Foxes are pretty, and I bet its fur would be soft and warm if you pet it. I haven't played B/W yet so I can't really complain about it or sing its praises, but seeing the Pokedex count now makes my brain hurt. I was a kid when Pokemon first came to the US; there were 151 of the things, plus one super cool glitch that duplicated your items when you ran into it. Now there's like 700 of the things or something. ><
They need to put a new kid in the cartoon and let Ash grow up already, or at the very least try not to reuse the same ridiculous plot in every other episode. It was fine at first, but after... 10 years? or so of it, they really need something new.

I agree. Staraptor is my favourite, and is a cool, cool bird. Luxray is an Electric cat. COOL METER EXPLODED. I personally think Unova is a waste of time - see my MegaMonRant. (I'm calling it that now ) Beware, I may waffle on. Ooh! Ooh! Poffins are derived from poffertjes, small dutch pancakes! See here:  POFFINS. THEY EXIST. ... I want to make a "Great Pokemon Name Derivation Project", where I find out where each 'Mon's name came from. |

Luxray was one of my favorite gen IV Pokemon, for no better reason than it was a kitty. ^_^ And it could shock things, which sucked for gyms until Pastoria, but that left plenty of time to over-level it before you needed it. Giratina was another of my favorites from Sinnoh. Dark/dragon type? Absolutely. Those look good! And almost exactly like I imagined poffins look, just less colorful  |

Giratina's actually a Ghost/Dragon Dual. *shrugs* Dialga's Steel came from diamonds being [science]the hardest compound on the planet[/science] and so it was typed Steel. Palkia's Water came from pearls being created underwater, in a clam Name derivations! Bulbasaur: bulb/saurus (lizard) Ivysaur: ivy/saurus Venusaur: planet Venus (once thought to have been covered in vegetation)/saurus Charmander: charcoal/salamander (associated with fire) Charmeleon: charcoal/chameleon Charizard: charred/lizard Squirtle: squirt/turtle Wartortle: water/tortoise/turtle Blastoise: blast/tortoise Caterpie: caterpillar Metapod: metal (harden)/pod Butterfree: butterfly/free Weedle: little Kakuna: cocoon Beedrill: bee/drill Pidgey: pigeon Pidgeotto: pigeon Pidgeot: pigeon Rattata: rat/attack >< Raticate: rat/eradicate (eradicate means to get rid of something! XD) Spearow: spear/sparrow Fearow: fear/sparrow Ekans: snake Arbok: cobra Pikachu: Pikachu is the Japanese name, coming from ‘pika’, the sound of an electric spark (apparently) and ‘chu’ being the squeaking sound that a mouse makes. Ghost/dragon just makes it all that much cooler. Not sure why I said dark to begin with, what would a dark type be doing in a ghostly cave? ><
"Sparrow" might be a good one for Spearow and Fearow. That's what I always figured they'd be when I thought about it, and it sort of fits with the pigeon thing Pidgey's evo line has going for it.

My dream team, which I am SO CLOSE to getting, is as follows: Charizard, Suicune, shiny Umbreon, Raichu, Lucario, and Grovyle. Charizard OWNS!!!! I liked the games up to SoulSiver/HeartGold. I liked the series up to mid-Hoenn. Now, there's NOTHING good about it. No cool Pokemon, no good plot, nothing. Sad, aint it?

My favourite pokemon is Furret/Pikachu, I'm kinda tied between the two.
And Yes the games are the saaaaaaaaame. I wish you could design your own pokemon trainer or something, DAT WOULD BE AWESOME

I love my HeartGold, but I seriously hate the Voltorb Flip mini-game. >< I suck at it, but I have to play it if I want a Porygon and ugh I so want a Porygon!
Being able to design your own trainer would be awesome on the aesthetic front. My ideal game would give you the option to work towards becoming a gym leader/elite four or would give you the option of joining the bad guys, instead of going along down the same good guy path all the time. I still wish there'd been an option to join Team Rocket after the Nugget Bridge in RBY. :c

Yar, Team Galactic's cool. :3 Voltorb Flip is a logic game - it's actually really easy. Pokemon would be better off without Unova and with someone's Fakedex instead, IMHO. ... I'll take sprite requests! Anyone want me to sprite them something? Amalgamon, Fakemon (PM me a line drawing), Fusions, recolours, disguises - I'm up for it! i have to say all my fave pokemon are usually psychic did i spell that right like mewtwo is my definate fave. and lugia i basically go for the rares. but i have to agree that charizard owns! and out of the pokemon cards it took me like 6 years to get a garados?  ? i mean i was soooooo happy when this happened. i still do not posses a charizard card though which deeply saddens me  |

I've still got piles of Pokemon cards in a bag somewhere. They're probably the same somewhere as my Yugioh cards I never play with anymore, which school be the somewhere my other Pokemon games are. Sadly I don't remember where this somewhere actually is. I've got a holo Charizard in a hard plastic cover on my shelf though :3
But yeah, logic confuses me. xD I'd probably be good at it if I tried, but trying bores and frustrates me.
Ooo, spriting. I used to sprite, it's pretty fun.
