if its their kid they have to pay child support end of story. This goes either way guys or girls.

I agree. if the father is raising the child then the mother has to pay child support- whether or not they are in the child's life.

Personally I think if you were involved in making a child, you should be required to take care of the thing. The only exceptions are if one parent being involved would be a detriment to the child - such as their being a drug addict, alcoholic, child molester, whatever - and then they should be required to pay child support.

You have to at least pay child support. If you are gonna suck as a parent (be abusive/neglect them/be an addict of harmful substances around them) I don't think they should be allowed in the kids life no matter how hard they promise to change until they legitimately change. Until the time when they feel they can be a part of the kids life, money should be going to child support.

If you don't wanna be in your child's life, fine. Just give your partner the money to support it and get on with your own life. That's what I say!

Temeraire is just awesome. Just finished Victory of Eagles a month or so ago and it was absolutely kicking! Also, the Ho Yay entries on the Temeraire TVTropes page now has me officially shipping Laurence/Temeraire, albeit platonically/non-physically.
