If anyone's interested or even knows that my beloved first-ever-true-obsession of a Belgian reporter and his faithful fox terrier, they can say what they think here.
I'm a die-hard fan of Tintin and had been so since the age of 3. I can't afford to buy any merchandise, but being a researcher and reader is enough for me. I haven't even seen the movie yet. It'll come on Boxing Day to NZ. But I know it'll be a hit.

I'm soo glad I've found another Tintin fan! I've been a fan since I was ten, when my friend lent me a few of her volumes. TheFrenchGal on deviant art is another great fan! Apparently, it's already come out in France, those lucky people! I don't know if it's in U.S. theaters yet, and if it is, my local theater is not showing.  |

Apparently they used a running gag from the 90's animated series: A cameo of animated Herge. And, yeah, I've also watched the old 60's animation and the old live-actions. I've even done some fanfics.

I've seen both the live-action and the old animated series, and both, as corny as they were, were fun to watch. I haven't written any fanfics though, only read them. And frankly, Ive been scarred by some of them.

I think the movie looks weird and kinda cheesey. But I guess some people love that stuff!
It's already started showing here in the UK though

That's nice to hear. And yes, the ones that scarred me were slash fics that I read when I was 12.
I really wish the movie was out here. I've heard that it comes out on Christmas in the U.S., but I'm not sure if that's good info.
