Can you guys help me with my report? I'm so used to essays that this report thing is a bit of a transition.
Its not long but fresh eyes are always good parts that don't make sense, spelling errors, layout issues anything I'm missing let me know (if you don't the teacher will and standing at the front while he goes through it is way more awkward so don't be shy)
We had to do a report on a celebrity baker from masterchefs target audience, from the reviews I've seen his food is over priced and terrible but that wasn't what the report was about.

This report will pinpoint the target audience of Zumbo patisserie. Over the next few paragraphs it will cover Zumbos current consumer base, competition, products/services, current marketing campaigns, specific demographics and the psychographics of the target Audience.
The product/Service
Zumbo is an expanding bakery chain first opened in 2007 by 28 year old Adriano Zumbo that focuses on producing exotic baked goods with an artistic flair. The four locations are open 7 days a week but close on most major holidays.
Current consumer base
Zumbos current consumer base consists of masterchef fans and people with a sweet tooth and a high income. A large percentage of his consumers are middle aged females with males in general being a minority. He gets many tourists through Masterchef publicity but his core consumer base consists of people local to the Pyrmont, Balmain, Manly and Rozelle areas.
The competition
Zumbos competitors are the surrounding bakeries and coffee shops. At his Balmain store alone there are 11 other stores in the immediate area that also provide cakes and patisseries to the public. His stores are located in areas that already have a large quantity of bakeries and cafes so the competition is ever expanding.
Current marketing campaigns
Zumbos popularity shot up in 2009 after making his first appearance on Masterchef. Since then he has mad many guest appearances in magazines, radio shows, TV and websites. No evidence of an independent marketing campaign has been found.
Psychographics of the target
The Psychographics of Zumbos targets are varied. Regular customers are from a high income sector with stable jobs in management and business. This class of consumers find quality more important than price and are willing to wait to get it. The other larger section of Zumbos target audience are there after hearing about it through Masterchef, they are of a substantially lower income bracket and as a rule do not live locally. They care less about quality and are more likely to be unhappy about the pricing.
Evaluating research
In conclusion, though Zumbos consumer base consists mainly of middle class tourists drawn to his establishments through publicity gained from Masterchef there is enough local regulars and new tourists to keep the businesses filled with more customers than they can handle. Research indicates to encourage more consumers to return a budget line of desserts is needed, more trained energetic staff need to be hired, larger establishments need to be acquired and a more organised system is needed to be put in place. The current system is not fit to handle the number of consumers that come to Zumbo.
