The Captain's Name

Hey...

So, I was reading a fanfic on ff.net and found one that gave him a first name. I was like, "It's his last name?"
So I decided to make a poll about it being his last name or first name! ;D

I got a GR DVD for Christmas, and I decided to put English subtitles on it. Haha. It spelled the Captain's name "Calan". Yet everyone on FF says that it's Callan.
So I decided to make a poll about the spelling of his name!

Then, I thought, why not combine them?!


And SOOO, this poll was born!! I feel like such a genius.

So, what do y'all think? (Stereotypical southern accent. ;D )

My thoughts: I chose Calan/First Name because of the DVD (haha). The first name...logic says last, but my intuition says first. I'm going to go with intuition.

I'm going with last name as he is an officer and in most- if not all- military establishements officers/privates/grunts/w/e are called by their last name. Meaning that if Calan/callan w/e is his first name he would be refered to as Captain Smith, as an example.

Little and I have decided that his first name is Austin, in a nodd to his Texas heritage (in which we also decided on). OF course that is our opinions.

I like Little's Austin, but I'm using Wyatt for one (maybe a couple) of my fics because of historical ties...

I, personally, think his first name is Calen, mostly because of the vocaloid Len Kagamine, and his songs, which often make me think of The Captain.

This doesn't surprise me. She's big into western stuff. I think had she lived back in the day she would have been a Billy the Kid or a Jesse James fangirl. -_-

I picked Calan first name, simply because even though i think it is his last name, it was the only one that was spelled the way i spell it.

Calan/Last Name is after Calan/First name. Or was it something different?

UM random thread bump I guess XD Well I read fics involving Calan before hearing his voice, and the spelling "Callan" made me think his name was cal-lin instead of kay-lin. So I'm definitely thinking it's Calan annddd totally his last name. It'd be kind of inappropriate to refer to a high-ranked captain by his first name.

Also I like Austin and Wyatt equally for a first name :D Though I've never been a fan of using fanon names in fics 'n stuff, cuz then when it finally comes out the fic sounds awkward XD But that's okay.

ANYWAYYSSS Calan is a hoottt piece of arse. Love him, love Caliday, too XD But I also like the idea that he's married. Either way works for mee

Our episodes in Oz say Calan, but I'm not sure *shrugs*

Callan is definately his last name. Military- they wouldn't call him by his first name even in a personal setting unless it was Holiday or someone. with BK calling Cesar- Salazar it definately puts that Callan is his last name.
