(Copied over from the post I just wrote because it's more on-topic here. Yeah, I know that not everyone hates him, and it's really nice to see people who actually try to logically think about why he does what he does, but I had a really nice bit of character analysis here and wanted to share it with you all and see what you think)
"Man, I knew WK is a jerk but I honestly didn't think that people hated him. I see him being a 'I Did What I Had To Do/Well-Intentioned Extremist/Lawful Neutral' type of guy. I agree with his paranoia against EVOs because it's kinda justified; any one, at any time, could turn into a rampaging monster and there's pretty much nothing they can do prevent it (unless Rex can cure a person who hasn't turned into an EVO yet, which I seriously doubt because it would solve a ton of problems). WK is the only one who can't go EVO, and I'd bet that this has caused him to develop a sort of 'Me vs. the entire world' mentality, a fundamental distrust of everyone else. Heck, I bet that he barely gets any social activity in that sealed box of his, he can't even let anything with nanites (aka pretty much everything) touch him, and that lack of human (or even animal) contact has got to be damaging to a human psyche! I like to think that various mental issues could at least partially explain why WK acts the way he does....as well as the fact that he really is a pretty big jerk."

okay attempt #1 at getting some life back into this place.
Maybe its just me, or the complete lack of White Knight jerkyness in the past few episodes, but has WK mellowed? It seems that way to me. He doesnt' see some hard on Rex and just a smidgen less critical on Holiday. If the time line they've led us to believe, (that Rex has only been with Providence for 18 months) then WK's attitude could very easily have been (still is?) lingering bitterness about the bleaching accident. His partner (Six) betrayed him, disobeyed a direct order and risk his carrier, his friendship and his life to protect a little boy that provided a glimmer of hope. As a result of those choices WK ended up being caught in bleach, and had it not been for him Six would be a light green ninja. Also- if it hadn't been for Rex, WK would have probably went the way of the EVOs that were bleached.

well before the bleaching thing white knight was a far cry from being the king of the jerks, a little ignorant perhaps but definitely not an all round jerk, I think your right, I too think hes still bitter about being bleached but the more Rex saves the day the more hes starting to see Six made a good call to save Rex.

I've gotta start out by asking this.... Does anyone actually like this guy? i like knight i think he's one of those characters who has to be bad cos no one else will otherwise and his points are always well founded and he has good reasons. like in 'written in the sands' he says he won't send in a recon team to get rex, i think that is a more than good idea cos at the end of the day rex was fine anyway. i just think that knight is the decider that everyone needs in the programme (although he needs to stop talking through a screen he can be cut off too easily) |

I love the guy. His cold, ruthless attitude is juxtaposed nicely against Rex's altruistic nature.
