There's been a lot of discussion on 'so what's up with the Holix,' so I feel compelled to throw my own two cents in now:-)
I'm definitely hearing the frustration with the lack of serious Holix, and I get the inclination to start entertaining (i.e. preparing for the worst) the notion that Six and Holiday are being set up to just be good friends.
PERISH THE THOUGHT!!!!
1) I still think Six stays aloof from Holiday (and to Rex, but to a lesser degree) because he's concerned about his past or even his present coming back to haunt him. 'Divide By Six' gave us implied insight that Six has done things he's not proud of that may come back and bite him later (e.g. "You tell our secrets, we tell yours"). Maybe we can rule 'the numbers' out being a threat directly, but that doesn't mean someone else from a 'numbers' job may not come back for him. Remember also in 'By the Sea,' Six warned Rex about "getting others caught in their crossfire." This tells me that Six clearly understands the danger of what he gets himself involved with, and consequently knows the potential ramifications of these dangerous involvements to others who are close to him. Hence, he's still wary of getting close to others. Old habits die hard!
2) After this last ep., another concept is moving to the forefront in my thinking here. I'm wondering if because Six has done so many terrible (in his mind) mercenary related things, he sees himself as undeserving of love, or his past by default makes him impossible to love, whether he wants it or not (which I believe he really does in Holiday's case). And having resigned to this fate, he just maintains emotional distance in all cases and settles for proximity to another, at best. I'm really getting the sense now that Six sees himself as damaged goods (he actually refers to himself as such in the M.Rex comic). Perhaps, he convinces himself that Holiday is out of his reach for this reason. I take this from the fact that he has clearly allowed himself to be more emotionally present to Rex than he has Holiday. I'm guessing this is because he sees Rex as a younger version of himself and this gives him a sense of familiar comfort which allows him to be just a bit more vulnerable to Rex.
3) The comic M.Rex very clearly set up Six and Mia Moore to eventually hook up. Holiday is no Mia, but I'm convinced that Holiday took Mia's place in GenRex (aside from the hair color, the two look quite similar - including the piercing green eyes and uber hot bod!). Given this, I ABSOLUTELY can't for a second believe that MoA had no intention of hooking Six up with the main adult female character, in this case Holiday, in GenRex.
4) Also, there's been too much hinting at something more than friendship that's taken place in the show thus far. Granted this has mostly been courtesy of Holiday's gestures. But even this makes sense in light of my point #2. If point #2 is correct, then it would take someone's advances, like Holiday's, to help Six understand that he is both lovable and deserving of love. After "Robobobo" I'm more convinced Six is starting to get the message that Holiday genuinely cares for him beyond a simple infatuation. This could lead him to the understanding that he's also capable of being loved by someone regardless of who he sees himself as in light of what he's done in the past. Old self-perceptions die hard, too!
Alright, I'm done with that. So now I'll point out a nugget of joy that I KNOW some of you will want your attention drawn to.
In "Divide By Six," when Six catches Rex when he goes limp after his 'Avatar' moment, and then turns towards Dos so he can help him with Rex, Six's shirt is tieless AND unbuttoned at the collar. Go look - you know you want to!

>.> Yall have it sooooooooo easy now. lol i remember fangirling for days because he wasnt wearing his blazer in one ep for about 2 seconds, and the entirety of my fangirling during promises promises was because he was wearing a DIFFERANT green suit. Now no new person will experiance the agony we went through, and how freakin EXITED we were to catch the tiniest glimpse of the corner of his eyes from between his cheek and his glasses. we used to KEEP TRACK of thise things. When Devided by Six came out, and he took off his glasses, i was at WORK and a friend called me to tell me. i didnt even SEE it, and i started screaming and jumping and crying cause i middes it. I freaked out the customers and my boss enough that i got sent home early that night. Its so so sad that that just isint going to happen with anyone who pickes it up now.
.....Wow... that was a rant that i didnt expect.. ignore me now. *hides*

haha, I only joined recently, but I do remember waiting, in anticipation, as the second season aired. Rewinding every time Six said something Six-ish, or awesome! Aw, I remember waiting, weeks before Divide by Six aired, and the second it showed up online I legit ran to the site and watched the episode repeatedly.
Liz has a point, before we got a glimpse of Six, i would track episodes down RELIGIOUSLY finding good parts, and keeping track.
God, I am so weird 0.o
