Van Kleiss is a special guy. I think i can honestly say he is the only bad guy that sprouts flowers where he walks. (please correct me if i'm wrong) This is a fun little detail, cause mostly, the flower growing gene is only supposed to be passed down through the purehearted, and fairies. Therefore, i would like to make a motion to have Van Kleiss officially instated as a fairy.
Ok, back to the point. Really, i don't think he is so much a Bad guy as a guy with interesting motivations. His ideals might even be considered better than Providence's Philosiphy. But then he tries to take over the world, so the point is moot.
He is a kind of creepy guy, and he isint my favourite charecter, but you have to give him credit. He somehow got his ARCH-ENEMY to bring him back to life after he was already destroyed. Even though Rex cured him, i highly doubt this will be the last we see of Kleiss. He is just way to a Magnificent B. to be kept down for long.

pedofairy
I said it before, I'll say it again, and (I think) I'll say it forever. MoA stole a TON of stuff from X-Men for Generator Rex. From the mutants/Evos to the Brotherhood/The Pack. This is shown mostly in the episode 'The Hunter'.
But, the reason I bring this up here, is because Van Kleiss is a lot like the 'bad guy' from the X-Men, Magneto. As far as his ideals go and his 'means to an end' plans. (Like 'Leader Of The Pack')

I'll give you the x-men stuff every single bit of it. Not that thats enough for me to call the show a knock off and stop watching it. Look at Ben 10 then google " dial H for hero " The M.Rex comic did say something a long the lines of evolution did not stop with mankind so this is inevitable I guess making this comparison.

A lot of Van Keiless may have come from X-men, but i hold to my opinion that he is pretty much Orochimaru from Naruto, (complete with harem of underage ninjas/Evos, and main character's love interest lured to his side) except with vines instead of snakes. And slightly better goals.

No please not that no pedo NO PEDO! I hope that we don't get the kind of pedo subtext with Van Keiless that we get with Orochimaru . It was in the first episode. He tied up Rex with his vines and stuck his freaking hand in and GAH... I'm... uncomfortable with seeing him as a Pedo for the show as well... but it's just so THERE... Ew... Oh and thanks, I finally left the thought of Oruchimaru behind me so big thanks for bringing him back in my life... sigh... Now I gotta go read Itachi killing him again... brb

VK is a total creep. I think there's something else going on with the Pack, though. They're all really loyal to him. To the point of Biowulf not appointing himself leader but instead concentrating their efforts on bringing him back. Even when he's weak they're there for him. Clearly he doesn't just rule with fear or power - and it is very difficult to control people psychologically unless there's a real bond. I'd like to learn more about their history and why there's so much devotion to Van Kleiss and each other in that group. And how Circe made it in/how she's still around beyond the Rex connection, since the others seem closely knit, the trial to get in was pointless and dangerous, and the wolf guy was gone in less than an episode.

Maybe he is just an evil creep when others are around. maybe around his family he is all about baking cookies, and sharing your feelings. Now i must write a fic to this effect.
