Okay I'm gonna force myself to stop accidentally hijacking the famous fears thread (and will actually go back and wipe some of it because I talked too much.)
There are 2 ways I've found to do crop circles. I'm not going to put down the juvenile delinquent version though or people will probably get upset. The safer and much easier way is to take a bag of salt and to trail it lightly over the grass. It makes the grass flatten within hours because it sucks out the moisture, and it takes a very long time to recover (I carried this one out as an accidental experiment at home on a bit of lawn and Dad only found out a few years later why he couldn't get that bit of grass to stop going yellow *wince*)

you forgot the third option, you know get aliens to come to your farm and destroy your crops in their space ship?
