I'm here to help Hoa.
Ok, ok.... Why are people still hating on Circe? I still find her awesome.
She didn't completly know what VK was doing and she considered him and the Pack her family. And the Pack doesn't even seem all that bad to her. Her and Biowulf had a 'thing' going. (Just wish I could of seen her react with Breach more).
She found out some of VK's more 'erk' traits and she left the Pack...
So...? I'm sorry, I'm lost. Why are you guys still hating on this poor girl? She's kicks butt and she's awesome to boot.

Now that Circe has a little more personality, she is respectable now imo (I srsly love how she just kicks Rex in the face too XDD). I don't have a problem with her, Circe. I still have a problem that she is there as a love interest. That premise, I don't like. It could have been anyone that would have been thrown in there like that and I still wouldn't like the premise of that character. I don't know if I can get over that.
I think it'd have been better if she was more rough-and-tumble to start out with, fighting with Rex and he'd be all "WHY DO THEY HAVE THIS NORMAL GIRL HERE" and then BAMF EVO mouth and he's all WTFMAN, and then through their fights they'd have this hilarious banter between them and it's gets from lol to aww.
But, you know, like, I can get what they're trying to do. Rex is insecure in himself at that point, and then he meets this girl who's in the same EVO boat, so he wants some sort of meaningful connection in his life. And Van Kleiss knows this and that's half the reason why he has Circe on his team anyway, to get to him. I totally understand. But it's just. I hate being choked by that red string thing.
Maybe since it was Van Kleiss who essentially gave Rex this love interest, I should hate on him more. XDD It's just bad writing, Kleiss. No. *bops on head with a rolled up newspaper* No. Bad villain. Bad.

So, Sir, you don't like the fact that Rex found a random girl as a love interest and THEN she decided to side with his enemy? Yeah, that does make some sense. (Though, VK did get to her first, but it still makes sense.)
That whole scenario you described sounds really good, but it's been done. I think MoA is going for the NEVER BEFORE SEEN side. IMO, your scenario sounds more interesting, but I think they didn't go that route primarily b/c it would've taken a while for the pairing to reveal itself, instead of in the third ep. MoA wanted us to know that there was going to be a Circex pairing from the beginning.
That being said, I think they're building up towards something big.

So, Sir, you don't like the fact that Rex found a random girl as a love interest and THEN she decided to side with his enemy? Yeah, that does make some sense. (Though, VK did get to her first, but it still makes sense.) Yes. No, wait. Not quite. I don't like that whole "Random girl as a love interest" thing. It's just. So. Random. XD; And the siding with the enemy thing is nothing new... TRAINER REX BATTLE TIEMS! RANDOM LOVE INTEREST HAS APPEARED! TRAINER REX USES WOO! It's not very effective... RANDOM LOVE INTEREST USES Mystery! It's super effective! But, the thing is with the villain-siding girl, it has been seen before, it has been done before, and so has the whole "THIS PAIRING, MMKAY" thing has been done before too. For series that are short and/or are focused on romance, I think that is totally okay. But for something as actiony as GenRex, that's probably gonna take a while to wrap up, it's just not right to me. D8 I don't see the need to make some romance so apparent when the series is going to take awhile to finish. Maybe there will be an opportunity to have something big between the two of them eventually, but like, at the end of Alliance, they left it so open. I really do wonder what they're going to do with her in the future though. Maybe it'd be cool she would find her own way and make her own group to help Rex, but I'd like to see that later down the line for them to rekindle that after he matures a little more.

I've said that I think this last episode gave her some redeeming points. BUT***** She just left and was going to let what happen to Rex happen to him. Lots more brownie points if she would have attempted to help him *she's got the equipment for it*, it might have been a tad cliche but it would have showed that she DID like him more than she wanted to follow VK's orders.
She has been giving free range to make her self better. And the fact that she made a definate descision shows the creators working with building her character.
My main gripe with Circe- other than the first few appearances she had no personality- was that she was manson follower- but a wishy washy one. Either she goes hard core VK lover or she quits him- the one redeeming feature, that imo should have been done sooner in the series. When she was introduced she seemed like nothing more than a plot hole filler as a love interest. If they keep bringing her back they need to, as Sir said, make her into something bigger.
She can't just be an - Oh here's a kickass female character to please our fans- every once in a while. She needs purpose. Holiday is a kickass female character and I love her to death. She has personality, motivation, and direction. She knows what she wants, what is right and when to break the rules to do either of the previous. She doesn't take guff lightly. Circe on the other hand was presented as meek, emoish and a follower that didn't seem capable of making her own descisions. ..
.....
Okay. *takes deep breath* I'm done.

To Sir-
Oh ok. Awesome Pokemon ref, btw XD.
But that's the beauty of Alliance. They left everything OPEN. Anything can happen, now.
I agree again. I hope she goes off on her own and does something OTHER than randomly joining Providence (but I don't want her against them either).
To Doc-
*is blank* ... Help Rex with what?
ANYWAY~ Circe has only been shown in the series... what, 4 times? I think this last ep was to officially introduce her and I believe we're going to get much deeper into her character. I'm sure we'll have a Circe centric ep soon.
The biggest thing that the last ep told me was that MoA is just getting started on this series. Think about it. Season 1 sorta just told us everyone's names and a little background on what the story line is going to be about. From the foreshadowing in the eps in S2, I think we're getting a bit more detail out of everything and something big is going to happen. Either in this season finale or the next.

Lina- help him with what? Are you serious? No face was beating the living crap out of Rex. She started to go help him and Vk threatened her so she went out side. VK wanted Rex brain dead, no dead just brain dead. Circe did nothing to try to stop the beating past her voicing displeasure with it. You can't just say I don't like this, you must take action.
I agree. Moa is just get started, I can't wait to see how everything develops and like I told sadie and dd, I am optimistic for Circe, but I will retain my dislike of her until further episodes and character examination.
And I don't understand why just being in four episodes is an excuse. Sqwyd has been in two and he's certified awesome.

OHHHHHHHHHH.
I thought you were talking about the end of the ep, after he fixed the sheild. I was lost, but I get it now. And yeah, you're right. She didn't help him. *shrug* We'll see if she helps him in the future, I suppose.
YEAH, BUT THAT'S SQYWWD! XD
Anyway, we know and accept that Sqywwd (HOWEVER YOU SPELL THAT DUDE'S NAME) is supposed to be a minor character. At least until MoA says otherwise.
The fact that Circe was in so few eps and MoA wasn't brushing on her character or background at all AND she was the apparent love interest of the main character was a bit mind numbing. I'm like you. I'm super excited to find out they're going to do with her.

Yeah, my favorite thing about Alliance is that it was so open in the end. I think that was a really elegant way to have that episode wrapped up.
See, darlings. *puts arm around shoulders* when we properly communicate the base of what divides us, we may come to an understanding and end up building bridges instead of walls. Or some sort of crap like that. XD
I really dislike blind Circe hate, or for that matter, blind character hate, but if there's a legit reason, then hate on, imo. XD just becauuuse something isn't our cuppa tea doesn't mean we caaan't get alonnnnngg. XD
