I wonder if its an " I dont know how to talk to a woman a like that " thing or a "we are in the middle of a war " kind of thing. Don't know. I've been thinking that, too. He mentioned something towards the latter in What Lies Beneath. I think it's like you said before though. He just doesn't know how to let someone in anymore.

I kinda have been wondering- and I think I may have seen this theory on another thread- but I wonder, based off of the first episode and some other random things through out the series. If Holiday and Six at one point in time WERE a couple and something happened( the war got worse, white intervened, it wasn't working out)and theres that 'want' to get back together is there.

That is...surprisingly plausable. Or maybe it just got pushed aside and forgotten about and never got very far, but it still has all the unresolved tension because nothing ever really happened with it.

Think about it they find Rex, finally have a little hope after all that fighting, fear and loss. The funding comes in they start to make head way at long long last, then I could see one night in a half finished part of the base one thing leads to another.
Then you get the morning after talk of " we work together and that can't happen again etc "

Or right before things go to far- that we work together and that can't happen, comes in and kills the whole thing.
