The mom cat we called Hope, she wasn't exactly our pet, she was a stray whose owners probably dumped her when they found out she was pregnant, and she adopted Grandma, so we looked after her in Grandma's conservatory until the kittens were born, then the Haslemere Cats Protection League took her in (on the Friday of the Royal Wedding) to look after her and the kittens. And this is a pic of my cat Thomas, and my guinea pig Tim. Tim passed away earlier this year, but he was a sweetie, and they both wanted to sleep in Tim's cage, Tom had a habit of climbing inside and curling up in there.

By the way Awesome, about hamsters.....I have had three of them and they've been fantastically friendly. Syrian hamsters all of them. Toby, Tom and Ellesse. They are highly intelligent, inquisitive, engaging creatures. I used to feed them by hand treats like raisins, cornflakes. Another friendly small animal type to keep is a guinea pig. Though if you did, i'd suggest two females, or one male, as two males are so annoying, i've never yet seen a pair of males that don't fight even when brothers. The female guinea pigs I've had have been lovely, gentle, interactive kinds of animals...Candy used to adore cucumber to the point when I kept her in a box in my bedroom, she used to start calling out in the morning for her breakfast chunk of cucumber. Her daughter, 7up, adored her dandelion leaves leading to some funny stories. Tom developed his habit of curling up with guinea pigs because of Candy because he used to jump into her box, curl up in her hay and she'd react by grooming him, then he'd groom her back.

cats look cool, I love cats but Im allergic to them, If I wasnt allergic I would have had a cat "follow me home" ages ago, my dogs love snuggling up to cats. Had one once but he ran away when I was 3.

My mom used to have a dog named Pocholo when she was a kid. Then it ran away while they went to church
Then my next door neighbor used to have one too. It was given by her brother's friend. But then that died while they went to church. The last time I saw it, it was dead inside a plastic bag. It looked so helplessly sad and dead!!!

I have two beagles named Link and KC. Link is a big ol' fatso and KC is the most hyper dog ever! They're both major loudmouths.

Awsome Hamster tend to be nocturnal the ones i have had have been nice. And if you get them they can be 'trained' to be up when you are. What we did was left the lights on all night and then putting them in dimmer places during the day. And guinea pigs are slightly bigger but are awake when you are and are in my opioin nicer, my sisters Hamster bite her and drew blood... I have also had bunnies, lizards, and fish. If i can figure out how to post pics i will take and post some.

how many of you can actually buy hamsters? they are not allowed in Australia, darn laws. hamsters look more fun than mice.

My BFF has a pet rat. In my opinion, rats are the best rodents to have as pets. They'll sit on your shoulder and everything! They're also much friendlier and more loyal than other rodents.
