Does anyone else here watch NCIS? It's one of my fav TV series. It's probably the only one besides GR that I actually make sure to watch every week. But that's not the only similarity that I've noted between the two series! I've noticed that A LOT of the characters are mirror images of each other in MANY ways. Allow me to give some examples.
-Six = Gibbs: This was the first similarity between characters that I realized. Six/Gibbs is the epicly awesome character who says little, but radiates an aura of awesomeness. When he DOES speak, you know to listen. You know that he can do no wrong and that his motives are always right! He's a father figure to all of his subordinates. He has a rough past, but doesn't let it get in the way of his future. He's a fighter who you KNOW will kick ANYONE'S butt if challenged. He's pretty much the definition of amazing.
-Rex = Tony: He's the goofy, weird, never-can-tell-what-he's-thinking comic relief. He's amazingly good looking and a bit of a ladies' man. Still, despite his funny attitude, he has a deeper, more serious side. His past wasn't as perfect as his demeanor may hint at. When his friends need him, he drops all goofiness and mercilessly defends what he cares about.
-Noah = McGee: He's the best friend of Rex/Tony and is usually helping him get out of trouble. He's a totally adorable geek. He's very cute/awkward when dating and often needs a push from Rex/Tony.
-Holiday = Abby/Ziva: Yeah. Holiday isn't JUST Abby or JUST Ziva. She's got a bit of both! Like Abby, she's the brains behind the entire operation and, more often than not, is the person to save the day with her knowledge and intuition. Similar to Gibbs/Six, when she gets a notion, she is usually right. Like Ziva, she kicks MAJOR butt. If you cross her, you die. She has an air of control and confidence. Also, she has hints of a difficult past of her own and some major family issues.
-White = Director Vance: He's the leader of the whole operation. He used to be close friends with Six/Gibbs, but now is a total buttface that everyone loves to hate.
-Circe = Kate: She has a combined fighter/damsel in distress type of aura. Sometimes she's on top of everything. Other times, she has no clue what to do. Plus, she was the first obviously-gonna-get-together love interest for Rex/Tony that later on ended up not getting together with him.
