So I didn't get much sleep last night. (Yay. I should've just stayed up.) And while doing research for an upcoming event in an LJ RP I'm a part of, I found out something interesting.
Now the event involves the tarot cards, and the card that fit my character best was Death. Not necessarily a bad card though the name's freaky. I noticed that the Death card I was looking at had a skeleton in armor on a white horse.
So I got curious since I also play WoW and one of the Death Knight specs has an "On a Pale Horse" thing. I remembered, duh, four horsemen of the Apocalypse, so I decided to do some reading. (Don't worry, my rambling brain is going somewhere with this.)
Turns out that the original Greek word for "pale" also meant "green". Judging by the ancient Greek medical texts, it was also the color used to represent a corpse. On top of that, the rider of the green horse was Death.
Kind of made me wonder if Six's suit being green is a bit more sinister than on first glance.

That just made things a little scarier to me, on my part...
But after reading this, I guess it really does make you wonder. Maybe the numerous amount of times the color green has been used in MoA cartoons mean something.
That, or they really do just like the color green and nothing more...

I dunno, maybe MoA is like this director, oh geez for the life of me I can't remember his name.... but anyway he put green in everything for no other reason, than it was his favorite color.
Maybe its a more modern take on green, where it used to represent envy, its become more representative of moving towards the future and goodness.

Whoa... That's kinda cool! I'm a big mythology buff, but I didn't know that. That does make Six's status as the sixth deadliest man in the universe sorta come into perspective.
I think MOA simply likes the color green. That, or they were looking at Agent Smith from the Matrix, who I'm pretty sure also wore green.
I also love the color green. If I could have ANY eye color, it would be bright green, like Ben or Gwen's eyes.
You know, despite the sinister look at Six's fav color, the first image that came to mind was Six petting a pale green horsey. '^_^

Seeing how much MoA LOVES dropping in Biblical names , I really wouldn't put it past them to actually put that meaning into Six. It is very appropriate, after all. Imo.
This show has a lot of meaning to dig into. I love it! Great connection!

Good thought, Sirenitie! Considering the Biblical name drops all over the place, if my little late night thoughts are right, the green would relate back to the Bible as well. The four Horsemen of the Apocalypse are mentioned in the Book of Revelation.

If you think about it, we kind of have three out of four horsemen here based on their colors right here in Providence.
White could represent the white horse, which can be interpreted in two ways. There is the white horse known as conquest traditionally, which can be applicable to him because he desires eradication of nanites and EVOs. Or, he can also be the white horse of pesitillence, which he can be connected to because he is the only one who is exempt from the infection of nanites.
Rex can represent the red horse, known as war. Because, well, he is Providence's weapon, after all. He fights. XD
I am not entirely sure who could be the black horse, famine, because I can't really see anyone in Providence fitting that role. However I was thinking maybe Van Kleiss could be it. His abilities basically drain life, and with his powers focusing on nature and organic things, he is really is able to produce widespread famine. It could make sense as well for VK to be the fourth horseman since he is at odds with Providence, and with him and Providence fighting each other, there is a potential for them to end the world.

And here is where MoA is going, 'oh crap, that's deep. We shoulda thought of that.'
