>>I thought this topic deserved its own thread, but if it's been discussed before, or doesn't belong, Mods, feel free to take it down.
I thought the issue of Six's past and name should be addressed...or at the very least extrapolated on.
In the original comic, M. Rex, of which our beloved series is based upon, Six is called such because he is the sixth dangerous man in world. Are we free to believe then that this has transferred over to the series?
If so, then it can be inferred that there are five others that precede and exceed Six in number and in skill. How many do we believe are out there? 10? 20? Is this an organization comparable to the Deadly Viper Assassination Squad in Kill Bill; a group of assassins simply put together for the sake of acknowledging their prowess and lethality? And if this is an organization comprised of the deadliest men on the planet, are they all vying for the number one spot, killing the next numeral echelon until it is reached?
Anyway, I've seen some of the speculation that is floating around, and I like the direction it's facing. It's completely plausible and creative.
I've just felt a need to discuss this issue of Six for my own reasons. It started with an art sketch and fake screencaps (of the characters corresponding to pieces of a chess board) which quickly turned into an EVO plot bunny and it became necessary to flesh out Six.
My Speculation:
What I've come up with is that the organization/ group (I've seen them been called "the Numbers" and such) call themselves "The Suits" because they dress in suits and also correspond to a deck of cards. There would be ten or twelve members.
The leader (#1) calls himself "Ace" as a play on the highest card and the word itself, being the best of something. This is analogous to how Bill from KB has the codename of "Snake Charmer" for his Deadly Viper Squad.
The first five (Ace, Two, Three, Four, and Five) are referred to as "The Hand."
[As a side note, and further fleshing out, I gave 2, 3, 4, and 5, the names of the playing card suits because (1) those positions would be honored and (2) it sounds cool. They'd be Spade, Heart, Clover, and Rhombus.]
I realize I am totally pulling an Alice in Wonderland vibe with the Chess and Cards, but blame MOA for White Knight. Next I'll be claiming that Holiday's real name is Alice. Just kidding. For realz.
But I'm curious, what other speculation have you guys come up with?
