I LOVE riddles! I hope you guys like em too!
Game's simple. One person tells a riddle and ANYONE can answer it. The first person to get the right answer gets to tell another riddle. The person who told the riddle should say whether the people who guess were right or wrong.
Ex: A man is to be sentenced to a punishment, but he gets to choose his own fate. There are 3 doors in front of him. One leads to a steep hillside. The second one has room filled with loaded guns, aimed to fire at the person to go through the door. The last one is a room with lions who haven't eaten in 3 years. Which door should he go through to live?
*random guesses until someone gets it right*
*next riddle*
Something like that...
Okay, here goes the first one:
There was once a man who saved the life of an old wizard. He said that, in return, he would grant him one wish and give him one day to think about it. He told his mother what happened and asked for what she wanted, and she asked to have the ability to see, for she was blind. He asked wife this time and she asked for a son, for they were childless. Lastly, he asked his father what he wanted, and he wanted to be rich. After much thinking, the man decided what to wish for and went to the wizard. In the end, all their wishes were granted. What did he wish for?

The first one is the lions who haven't eaten in 3 years, since they would've died of starvation.
but no clue about the other one xD

I think I know! The second one is that he wished for a rich son who could help his mother around - like how a guide dog helps out a blind person! TADAAAAA~!

Either what Purple said or for the father to be rich, that way the mother could get laser eye surgery to see and they could afford to adopt a child.
Am I close?

I not good with riddles, but I'll give it a shot;
He wished that they each got a wish so the could get what they wanted or He wished that all their wishes be granted in any case.
Meh.. not good with riddles :\ Cool thread though!

Well, some of the guesses are close, but not exactly.
Hint: He wished for all their wishes to be granted in one sentence at one time.

Yeah he said 'I wish all of my families wishes could be granted.' and then they were.

But the wizard didn't know what they wished for, actually. The man didn't tell him either. There was a way, though...

It wasn't exactly mentioned that those were their deepest desires. But there was a different way he had of saying it...
I could just give the answer because I'm getting kinda impatient with this

He could always just say 'I wish I had the power to grant wishes.' then he could get whatever he wanted.

That's a good point, there. But this is a riddle. You gotta think outside the box, not just give straightforward answers. That's no fun now, ain't it?
