Viper, your sig is win. \o/ Mac, your avatar is win. (Now I have badass-face!Holiday all for myself > ) I am a little annoyed they don't do /much/ character development on this here show, but I still like it \o/ You may want to check out my filler rant somewhere, tho <_<

I don't think that this was quite filler, as it did develop double builds (which might really come in handy in Heroes United) (BTW, in heroes united, by saying it's not a part of ben's production cycle, does that mean it's actually not canon in ben-iverse?) Also, was there a moment during the race with Valve that Rex "healed" the Rex Ride by forming/deforming from it so quickly that he didn't actually switch from it? BTW, what is it called when Rex changes builds? (Like Ben transforms into aliens, what's the equivalent for Rex?)

Yeah, I ran into that issue when I was trying to write a fight scene in my GenRex oneshot, and I was thinking, "How should I put this? Transform? Become? Shift?" In the end I would just use adjectives for transform, in relation to whatever limb was involved.
And about the filler thing, well, I realized something. This is a kid's show. It's not a linear storyline like, say, Heroes or Lost, or most anime. Since it has that EVO-of-the-week format, most of the episodes could be considered "filler."
(And thanks, Spirit. I got it from a demotivational I found on Deviantart.)

People are wondering why Six is behaving like nothing laser'd his brain. I think that his behaviour is all out similar to that of S1E1, cos now that he's learning to be a better man than 6 years ago, he's got the professional act on again.

I agree, Evol! Six was all cocky three episodes ago. What happened? If there was some kind of revelation in the six-month time jump, then there's got to be a flashback in the next episode, minimum. If not that, then two eps max. Jes' saying. *hides Rath and frying pan* @viper: No problem The comment on filler is actually pretty accurate, now that you say it. EDIT: Forgot to add: I personally use the terms 'build' or 'generate' for creating the builds, and 'disassembling' for the breakdown. I'm assuming 'generate' because, y'know... *jabs finger at show title and vanishes under a rock*

Probably in the next two, since we know the next ep is the crossover. I'm just hoping we get an actual flashback, rather than some cheesy "As you know..." exposition/monologue. So we can see how Black Knight came to power, the events leading up to Six and Holiday's desertion of Providence, how White Knight found that... dam... whatever it was place to set up La RĂ©sistance, Cesar's motivations, what happened to the Jungle Cat EVO who for whatever reason TV Tropes has nicknamed "Nightshadow," where people like Noah and Kenwyn are in all this, just what the hell happened to the Pack, stuff like that.
Also, I'm curious to know about Black Knight's policies concerning the more harmless, unobtrusive EVOs. I'm talking about the sentient ones like the Hong Kong gang or the EVOs that showed up in Lost Weekend, who just try to go on with their lives without plowing through major cities. Does she capture and brainwash them, too, or does she actually show some restraint? (Which I doubt.) Hope MoA looks into this more; BK looks like a pretty cool villain, and I'd like to see her fleshed out.

Black Knight seems to be a reasonable character, albeit a bit more concise with her actions, but I think that she'd give the sentient EVOs a little more leeway, if not just leave them mostly alone (so long as they're not committing any crimes or so). She doesn't seem to have any prejudice against intelligent EVOs since she trusted Rex to handle the EVO situation by himself straight off the bat anyway (compared to White Knight's prejudice when he first met Rex), and I think she would find that there's nothing to do with them as long as they aren't causing a problem (like most human beings). I kind of wonder if we should even really label Black Knight as a villain anyway. She's just a woman trying to do her job. She still has a higher power to answer to (if we're pulling the chess allegory with the whole pawn and knight thing, there's gonna be a king and/or queen there somewhere), and just because she does things in a way that we're not used to shouldn't automatically make her the bad guy. She obviously does want some way to protect people and keep them safe since, when Rex came back, she automatically made him the number one response again rather than just caging up the EVO. If anything, maybe we should brand The Committee as the villain/puppetmaster. They're the ones pulling the strings and the ones who put Black Knight in place anyway, probably because they knew she'd get the job done. They're a faceless organization, and we can't even really be sure if public safety is all that they're after.

I could count on one hand how many times it's even been mentioned. It's probably filled with rooks and bishops and kings and queens, which would be epic. Well, a king and a queen. Two each, for black and white? I think I'm lousing up the metaphor. Though someone could totally kick off a series of wild guesses about the Committee. Like... Rex's parents are on it! Or something. I'm not sure how that would work...

Thank you Sir! *waves BK Fanboy flag* And - to add to that, a point that has probably been stated and re stated- they are using mind control on the animal evos- used the petting zoo as a field test, and it worked- and it seems to work on the others. We don't know what they are doing to the sentient ones (bobo not included)- and while their methods maybe different from what we know, White was really on that Cure, Kill or Contain kick, no? I mean if Rex didn't cure it and Six or the others didn't kill it, it was carted up never to be seen again. Rex didn't like the mind control thing, well....what is the difference really in forcing them into a box and making them think they want to go in the box? *shuttingup*

I think he feels differently because a line is crossed with the mind control. If you're in a box, but you still have your mind. So, you're still you but you're in a box. It sucks, but you mostly get left alone while you're in that box. The fact that you can still think is the only bit of freedom you have left (although if you're locked up regardless, it's probably hard to see it that way).
Whereas if you're mind controlled, you may as well not even be you at all. Even if you're allowed to walk around freely, there really isn't a -you- to experience that freedom. It's the ultimate form of submission where your mind is what is locked up and you can't feel or think. In that state, you may as well be a dead body being manipulated by an outside force.
It's a dilemma using it on EVOs that used to be human. Even as deranged EVOs, should individuals get that last right to some sort of self control, even if it results in a destructive nature? It's a very interesting ethics question. Black Knight and Cesar see it from the point of view for the public good, where it is a necessary force to use for the sake all those who are not EVOs. Rex views it from the point of view of the individual EVO, whose rights as a living and formerly sentient being are being taken away.
Anyway, it isn't to say that being packaged up and sent away to who-knows-where is better than mind control, because if you still had a mind, you'd understand that being packaged up seriously sucks, but it if you had a choice, not just for all uncontrollable EVOs, but also to have it done to yourself, which would you choose?

I still call VK being the Leader of the Committee. And I think we've been hoodwinked. This can't be Season 3 if they're finishing broadcasts this Friday. Cos if my calculations are correct, GR season always last for a full year. So I'm prepared to think that the crossover is the last episode of Season 2....somehow, unless you disagree.

It would be nice to know more about how this "mind control" works... because if it's through the nanites' programming, couldn't that potentially mean that they could control anyone considering everyone has nanites in them? I guess it would just be for those whose nanite count is high enough to make them into an EVO? So many questions?!! >_<

Oh gawd. So many questions. Like how Rex's true EVO transformation is triggered? How does the Six!mind-wipe work? Or the machine itself? Why did the lightning bolt go directly to his head *coughstupidclichescough* and not to the swords - why did it fork over anyway? It's a magnetic field! If a foetus goes EVO in the mother's womb, then what? We get Circe
I like backstories and the reactions of characters when presented with an alarming situation, so all my fics will be focussed on that. Hopefully they won't swing into an M rating >_> *offtopic*
