I'm surprised nobody's thought about exhaustion as a way to make Six vulnerable. After all, as awesome as he is, Six is still ultimately human.
I could see the scenario being something like this: Between missions, EVOs, his own training, and trying to keep Rex under control, Six's body finally hits its limits. Holiday sees this and convinces Knight to give his top agent some time off. The only problem is trying to get Six to take it easy.
I think it'd have the potential for some interesting team family moments if Holiday ropes Rex into trying to get the ninja nanny to get some rest. Plus some fun Holiday versus Six moments (which one is more stubborn?!). And, of course, sweetness and potential drama of Six's inevitable crash and burn.
*slinks off to stalk thread some more*

And THE MALLET HIT ME! ...with a chapter Holix fic... *takes deep breath* I've only finished one chapter fic in my entire life...but...this one is so good...and it involves polar bears... *is teetering on the edge* It wouldn't be as long as Mending the Breach, so...maybe...hm... *still wavering*

Okay, in my own opinion, it's not so sad. But it can be if you elaborate on it enough
Holiday falls deeply in love with another man (I'm thinking Callan, Caesar or whatever) and the two of them start dating and stuff. Of course, Six gets totally jealous, but does nothing to act on it. Rex, who recently figured out on his own that Six likes Holiday, starts wondering about Six's actions. One day, the dude who;s dating Holiday proposes to her (of course, they've been on a long term relationship) and she says yes. She excitedly tells Six and Rex the good news. Blah, blah, blah, stuff. Anyways, the thing that one would really focus on is the wedding. Six was the best man while Rex was the ring bearer. After the ceremony, everyone goes to the reception except Rex and Six. And then they have a conversation like this:
Rex: Hey Six
Six: Hm?
Rex: You love Holiday don't you?
Six: You could say, in a way, yes. I do love Holiday
Rex: Then, how come when those two were dating, you didn't step in or anything?
Six: Because she's happy with him
Rex: But, don't you wanna be happy too?
Six: Of course, I do
Rex: Then, why didn't you do anything?
Six: As I've said before, I love her and she makes me happy, but she seems happier with him. The only way to prove you love someone is that you are willing to let them go just to see them happy, even if it's at the cost of your own happiness...
That's pretty much how my idea went...it's a little cliche, cheesy and sappy but I think it's kinda cute

Solora- You had me at Polar Bears. You have yourself a winner! Btw, I gotta remember to read Mending The Breach. I think you have the most reviews on that fic than anyone else does in the GenRex category. So, kudos on that! lol
Awesome- /headdesk/ Ok, I think we all agree that Six is general our fave character, right? So why do we keep putting through all kinds of crap like this?! He only has a little heart and we keep smashing it against the wall!... Course, I've done the same, multiple tiimes, BUT STILL.
I'd read it.

I have headcanon that, since Six was raised by a martial arts master/possible mercenary, he probably doesn't always get social norms. Which means he could end up tromping on Holiday's heart simply because he doesn't know what he said or did would hurt her. And he might even persist such behavior even when she gets upset with him because--as smart as he is--he just doesn't get it. Six isn't a social animal after all.
Depending on whether or not Holiday knows even a little on the situation with One, it could hurt her even more since it looks like he's doing it on purpose.
One possible reason for the "I still don't have a clue" comment in regards to women, I guess.

I agree with you, too, Cy, but I have to believe that after ALL of this, he sort of getting a feel of how people are. I mean, it's obvious that he does care about Rex and, ok, he might like Holi, too XD.
But you're right, he could do something no accident, like the whole walking away thing in the first ep or, you know, just being generally clueless, like he usually is.
OR, like Doc said, he... well, he's not that bad looking himself. What if he finds some lady of his own? Maybe he wouldn't really care about her and it would just be a 'no strings attached' relationship, cause that's how Six is. He doesn't really get that whole 'love' concept so it seems.
I've actually had this little canon bit for a while now... I mean, think about it. The oldest he is in his early thirties. He's always fighting, training, working out, etc. There's just a lot of biology there and pure physical relationship is exactly how Six would be ok with... Then again, it seemed that he learned a lot of morals from One (that whole Martial Arts thing and all) so maybe I'm just kicking up dirt.
But, still...
Just saying...

Then again, it seemed that he learned a lot of morals from One (that whole Martial Arts thing and all) so maybe I'm just kicking up dirt. I can't see Six getting caught up in a purely physical relationship for the sake of sexual gratification. Biology only goes so far. Six has a solid moral compass that he's been following more and more since meeting Holiday and Rex. Six is a pretty deep guy. He wouldn't just go for some 'booty':-) He needs someone to match him morally and intellectually. That's why Holiday has caught his attention whether he's comfortable with that or not:-) Doctoral level 'Human Sexuality' has taught me that there's more to sexual intimacy than the act itself:-) |

Mac- I'm aware of all that, but I'm not so sure Six is... True, he's a really deep guy and he does have this almost 'best friend' bond with Holiday that still extends further than that. For Six, that's so huge. BUT I'm still not counting out that he may have been getting some from somewhere else. Maybe Holi is too for that matter. The whole 'no strings attached' has a double meaning in his case. Six is a person that doesn't like and almost fears to care for someone, so... yeah.
Good lord, I lost my train of thought...
THE POINT IS he loves Holiday, but love and 'the act of mating' (the censors lol) are two COMPLETELY different things. Granted they tend to run hand in hand, but they don't always have to...
I wonder if this is 'PG-rated'... Maybe we should change the subject >.>
