I wasn't born crazy, i just sort of grew into it. Kinda like you grow into that adult sized jacket your mom buys you when you are 5 and still waay too small for it.

I ADORE THIS PAIRING!!! from the first episode where holi tries to reach for his hand... i was like..."this has just become cannon in my shipper brain!" there huge hints in the show the holi wants six, i mean to point where if she anymore forward, she'd kidnap him and blurt out "I LOVE YOU GOD DANG IT!
i do think six is starting to feel something for her, but as like good soldier is trying to bottle it all up!
hopefully it's going to be cannon very soon!

Add another person to the Holix shippers. I definitely like the pairing since it's an interesting dynamic: She's the one making overtures that could be taken as various forms of affection without being obnoxious yet Six shies away from it and throws up walls to protect himself. The attempted touch in the first episode, to me, looked like the cliche "avoiding her touch as if he'd get burned" sort of thing, and that gets me thinking.
I wonder if Six's whole thing about how people they get involved with have a tendency to get in the middle of what they do is spoken from personal experience. Like there was someone long before he joined Providence but they ended up dead because of their attachment to him who--if you go by the comics' explanation of Six's number--is the sixth deadliest man in the world. There are probably quite a few people gunning for his head to either take his spot or get revenge. If someone died just because they were close to him, it'd help explain why he's emotionally distant with everybody: That loss must've cut deeply, and he doesn't want to feel that again. Of course, he's not dead so naturally he'd at least notice an attractive, intelligent, and capable woman which is why we get stuff like "Wow".
If that's right, then I think it makes an interesting parallel to Holiday's own sad story of her sister becoming an incurable EVO. While her sister is alive, there's no way Holiday can communicate with her along with the facts that her sister seems to be ruled by instinct now and most likely doesn't even recognize Holiday as a sister. Speaking as someone close to my sister, being cut off like that would probably seem to Holiday like her sister was dead. Clearly, she holds out hope for a cure (why else would she keep going back to The Hole?), but she also knows--as a scientist--that the odds are slim to none of finding it anytime soon...assuming, of course, there is one. Therefore, Holiday has real-life knowledge that not even your loved ones are safe from going EVO, and she knows from her job that if they're too far out of control, those people will most likely end up dead. To me, what makes Holiday strong is that in spite of this, she keeps reaching out to people rather than closing herself down like Six does.
It's this balance of opposites that fascinates me. Personally, I don't think they're in a relationship yet because of this constant reaching out-pulling back dynamic. If they do get together, it's going to be a long time coming.
And I'm gonna shut up since long rant is obsessively long.

I agree with all of the above. Well put.
And there is nothing wrong with rants. Rants are fun. So continue to rant away.

Yes! I agree. Rants are fun. Personally, i think that they might get to the point where they are 'cannon', but they dont do anything with it. Six is never going to be huggy huggy emotional, and really, that is a good thing. If they ever do put that couple together for real, i dont expect any big changes in the way they act around each other. And of course, if MOA really likes to mess with the fanbase, they will just keep them dancing around the issue for the next however many seasons this things runs, and possibly resolve it only in the very last episode.

I have a feeling he'd do that and sit back and watch the fandom go into epileptic fits. With popcorn.

lol
Yes, MoA loves to mess with us, but they should have fair warning that the fanbase is armed with sharp pointy things and we are not afraid to use them.

When Six said in the episode 'Beyond The Sea': "The people we get close to can sometimes end up in our crossfire" he was referring to somthing. Experience? Fear?
I agree with everything Cybra said. That the reason he doesn't reach out to people is because he doesn't want them dead and the reason she continues to reach out is because they could end up dead and she doesn't want to waste a moment.
This is the reason that I love this pairing.
Also, I'm doubtful they'll ever end up officially 'together', but I do think that they acknowledge that they have feelings for eachother. Or, Holiday does. Six (since 'What Lies Beneath') seems a bit confused on this subject, which is adorable.

Especially if it was long before the series finale. I find it amusing that Holiday's more emotionally prepared for a possible hookup than Six is. If either of them would figure out that they cared deeply for the other first, it'd definitely be Holiday. Though I sort of wonder how assertive she'd be towards Six, and how fast he'd backpedal. (Heh. That mental image sort of reminds me of the scene from Bambi when Bambi meets Faline again after Thumper and Flower end up "twitterpated".)

I really thought that Six knew she cared about him, but 'What Lies Beneath' blew that out of the water. With the 'wow' and 'I still don't have a clue'. I think he once viewed her as an overemotional woman with nice legs, then as an emotional genius/doctor with nice legs, and now as a friend-that-I-feel-weird-things-about with nice legs. I really didn't think he was that clueless.

Oh, I don't think he's that clueless. He's a guy and would at least notice her legs even if he never acted on the impulse.
I'm just saying that he's probably not emotionally prepared for a relationship. Especially if any previous relationships ended up with the other person dead. Maybe it's just me, but I know I'd have serious issues getting back on the horse after that kind of fall.

True. He is a guy. lol (as if that explains the whole thing) I think he sees it, for sure, but I don't think he realizes how much she cares about him. But, then again, MoA hasn't shown us the extent that her caring does go for him. She's also a down to earth realist and knows what goes down when things get bad.
Gawd, this whole thread has been brewing the most kick *ss fanfic in my head and I want to write it SO BAD, but I can hardly pump out Breakeven right now... I think I'll just coddle it in my brain a little more until it DEMANDS attention.

I've had a couple of guys tell me that they all look, but the smart ones don't always act on it. Guess it's a leftover instinct to keep the species going.
Oooh! What's the idea you got brewing?

Oooh! What's the idea you got brewing? Omg, it's so AU. I actually have two, though. One, the main one, is pre-series (pre-nanite/providence/rex/etc). Includes, Six as an undercover cop, trying to bust a street racing ring and Holiday caught in the middle of a seriously abusive relationship... It is SO GOOD in my head. I have one part all layed out and it is just EPIC. (That part includes angsty-torture... Gawd, what a plot bunny...) The other is a mysterious thing and I kind of want to get it more laid out in my head before (if I ever) come out with it. The only reason I mentioned the first is b/c I really plan on doing it.
