How utterly appropriate that we get Holix "fireworks" on the 4th of July:-) That was all I needed to see.

Okay, now that the actual excited screaming calmed down, I wanted to talk about the relation itself. I'm one of those people who due to various factors - in my case, professional - think in tv tropes and narrative techniques, so one of the questions that arose for me was: "Can we actually consider their meeting to be Meet Cute of not?"
And now comes the next one. Taking in account the last episode and that not much was poiting out that it would happen [so suddenly], MOA did the crowning moment of awesome for this pairing by doing a relationship upgrade (it hurts to admit it, but unfortunately i have this horrible feeling). Keeping in mind that this is actually a kids show - alright, teenage show -, there seems to be not much left to be done with the pairing. The Kiss, as I already mentioned somewhere else, is probably going to be a Now Or Never kind, and unless the writers will make Six actually say "I love you" or introduce a Love Rival (Five, Callan, whatever) or manage to make Rex's love life interesting (no heart-o-vision plzkthnx) so that the viewers switch their attention to his romantic storyline while Holix does some crazy somersaults in the background, coming on the front once in a while with one-liner stunts like "we broke up", "we are back together", and, my favorite, "guess who's pregnant", this could very well become the dreaded Shipping Bed Death (which some of us are already starting to experience). Of course, there is chance of an episode where Rex for sh*t and giggles decides to actually be interested it their relationship, which the whole "I'm going to spy on them now" storyline - that would actually be a pretty good filler, keep that in mind.
So now that my seriously long serious rant is over, I want to know the opinions. Discuss. =]

You have a lot of excellent points, Ler. Still, the way I see it, MOA did a similar thing with Gwevin. They FINALLY admitted that they liked each other at the end of Season 2, when Kevin saved her from going full Anodite and they went out. In the third season, it was obvious that they were boyfriend/girlfriend. Gwen even referred to him as her boyfriend near the end. That didn't make the Gwevin moments any less adorable when they happened. It didn't make the kiss, which took a whole season to have happen after they got together, any less awesome. Therefore, I think we're gonna be riding a nice Holix train all the way to the end. ^_^
A love rival could be interesting... Meheheheh... *imagining jealous Six from my fic, Sharpened Blade*
I'm also COMPLETELY down with exploring Rex's love life. I don't mind giving Holix a break while Rex discovers his love for Breach!
OMG!!!! When they kiss, I'll break the sound barrier with my screaming. If Six says "I love you", I will go into a coma...a HOLIX coma!!!!
What does Shipping Bed Death mean?
YES! Rex WILL spy on them! I SUPPORT THIS!!! He and Noah are gonna be HOLIX FANBOYS!!!!!

I've got a picture in my head of it turning around and Holiday getting hurt (going EVO whatever) in order to draw the big 'L' from Six. But I agree with Ler, now that they have finally gone out....how will they keep up the tension and the what ifs? I have faith that MOA can pull it off, I just hope it doesn't go down the road of Holiday's work hurting because she is distracted. I don't think that would be in character for her at all. But I do see a possibility in Holiday getting napped by the numbers. While Five might seem to be a Holix shipper she's still a 'person who knows things good people shouldn't' (does that mean shes a bad person??)

Holix doesn't HAVE to be about tension. Gwevin was mostly about shared moments, glances, and little touches here and there. I can see that happening with these two. I HIGHLY doubt Six or Holiday will be the least bit distracted from work, however. We're more likely to see subtle changes like Six brushing his hand against Holiday's when leaving for a mission, Holiday hugging him from behind while he's doing paperwork on his own...that sort of thing. ^_^

Holiday hugging him from behind while he's doing paperwork on his own...that sort of thing. ^_^ Please let this happen. PLEASE. I agree Solora. But so few shows (especially in cartoons) can keep a relationship interesting without the tension. Of course this is just a side story, which I think will make it work. It won't be the forefront, by any means. But I think that this episode- when they finally show it- will definately peak viewers interests again. It definatly kicked some life back into the board. ^_^

I think one way they might keep it interesting is that though Six did ask her out, it's going to be a slow process for them to become a couple. Right now, we're still in phase one for Six. Holiday knows she wants him, but he's being cautious.
Keep in mind what Five said. He had a relationship before with someone (I'm not so sure it was Five herself though I'll keep an open mind) but the relationship fell apart. And according to Five, the fault ultimately fell on Six for why it happened. (I'm inclined to believe her statement that "Five don't lie" after her part in bringing back Beverly, so I'm taking her statement on this previous relationship as fact.)
Six will probably take things very slowly. He's proved he's willing to die for Holiday's happiness, but a normal relationship might not be easy for him. He might even be afraid that Holiday will give up on him if that's what that previous significant other did because he's taking it slow with the express purpose of trying not to screw it up. He may give Holiday the lead in their relationship which could even backfire on him since though Holiday is clearly willing to show her emotions for him, Six is reluctant to initiate much.
I hate to be a buzz kill but Six asking her out was probably hurdle number one, and there's a whole obstacle course left.
