Actually, I think if he ever got her anything for her birthday, it would actually be something really cliche, like flowers or jewelry.

I can see that and I think you are right.

I guess I'm weird. I see him getting her small things that are useful: a high-quality pocket knife or something. When she gets it, she might be a little disappointed that it's not flowers or jewelry, but as time goes on, she ends up using his gift quite a bit. Then at some point down the road it hits her that he got her that seemingly thoughtless gift because he'd looked at what she'd needed and tried to make it convenient for her, making it probably one of the most thoughtful gifts she'd ever received.

I can see that too. OH! Her name could be engraved on the handle! A PERSONALIZED knife!!! In Six language, that's like giving a bouquet of a hundred roses!

Actually, I doubt that. Six doesn't seem to be all that good with imagination. Thoughtfull - yes, but original - not really. It seems that the only reason he gave Rex a tanto was because it was Knight gave him one, a man's gift to a man, and because Rex is slowly becoming one, he should have one too. Plus the whole bonding aspect (most obviously caused by Holiday's impact on him). History may prove me wrong, but that's my theory on him so far. ))

I think Six would definitely go for something meaningful. He's a deep guy - perhaps not romantic, but deep. He wouldn't get her just anything off the shelf, I don't think. But then again, a meaning-laden gift is quite romantic, actually:-)

But then again, a meaning-laden gift is quite romantic, actually:-) 100% agreed. I think Holiday would like romantic things, but would be so much more happier with something with meaning. It'd be wholly Six, and I think that's why she'd love it. ;3

It'd be kind of funny if that thoughtful gift wasn't recognized as such by Six himself. I picture him as the type of guy to give practical, useful gifts. In his head, he's giving her a tool to use; the idea that it's sort of romantic would never cross his mind.

i think six likes holiday a lot maybe a bit too much, but i think he is extremely good at covering things up so hides it a lot (he kinda seems embarased when holiday confirms a date with him in a family holiday)
as for the present, i agree with cybra, with the thought that six would get her something practical instead of romantic cos i think that's the type of guy six is. he doesn't do romance

Ding! Raven wins a point! Six doesn't do romance... what if he gets her a... gives her a... rubber band ball! *shot* A Swiss Army Knife, or a multitool. Or a recipe book ><
